[Also, do Lamia Confectores have any speacial powers, or are they just random people who like to slay vampires? xD]
Violet jumped too, but didn't turn around this time. She rubbed her temples and muttered a stream of curses under her breath as Sarah scolded him. It wasn't often Sarah did that - she was pretty level-headed and patient even with Jace. She's probably going to have a longer life expectancy than me, Violet thought. She climbed out of the van with everyone else, mentally preparing for the hunt, trying to put everything else out of her mind. "A'ight, Nic," she said, in her typical casual manner. "Escape routes, kinds of people, back in 10. Peace." And with that she took off down the city street. Peeking behind a building, she could see the warehouse vaguely in the distance - it looked like the prophesied party was in full swing. That little [expletive], how did he know? she thought, narrowing her eyes. Now she didn't trust him one bit, even though she only hated him before. Out of the corner of her eyes, she noticed a skinny, pale looking boy sprinting toward the warehouse. She couldn't see his eyes, but his skin looked awfully pale...
Daniel had abandoned the Lamia Confectores' trail as soon as the car entered the East Side, unable to run any faster lest he alert a human. Those vampires were wrong, he thought, I'm gonna be killed for sure. He was afraid, so afraid, his breathing catching in his throat as he ran even though no effort was required for the task. Even after all these years, he was still afraid of death. He almost laughed at the absurdity of it. He slid into the warehouse with disgust - he'd always hated parties, even the old, formal ones he'd used to go to in the colonies. But these modern ones, absolutely horrible. They fed without even a scrap of shame! "Excuse me!" he shouted, being drowned by the pulsing bodies in every direction. "Lamia Confectores are heading this way! Excuse me!" But no one seemed to listen to him, immersed in the light and the music.

Sarah listened as Nicolita spoke, nodding along with the leader, keeping a list in her mind. Her eyes were set, the innocent, fragility gone out of her, replaced with hard resolution. "Got i-" she started, but was cut off by Violet, who left after reciting what Nikki had said. She watched, about to say something, to call the girl back, when she noticed something- Jace, running just ahead of Violet, though it seemed as though he was.. Waiting up for her. How odd, she thought, before nodding to her Alex and Nicoleta and following after them. Jace had left the car moments before Violet, and hadn't even bothered to listen to their leader. It wasn't that he was disobeying her on purpose- what with the whole 'stay together until we reach the building' thing, he just had his own plans. His own needs, so to speak. When he heard someone else coming up behind him, he looked over his shoulder and saw that it was Violet. He didn't smile, but instead spoke. "That guy? He's a Vamp, and now he's warning the others," he said, nodding to the way the boy had run inside hastily. "We need to go fast," he said before running even faster.
Lexi wasn't much one for parties. Not this sort, at least- bodies grinding against one another, pulsing music, and.. Sex. Her nose wrinkled, the smell of someone throwing up in the corner reaching her. She sighed, and was ready to go. William and she had been there for some time already, so surely he would be ready to leave by now. If not ready, then willing. "William?" She called, looking about. "Will!" she said, a little louder. Will heard his friend and came up behind her, grabbing her around the waist from behind. "Yes, my love?" he asked, his voice a low purr. "Do you need something?" "Yes, I am ready to leave," she said, wriggling her way out of his arms. About that time, a boy burst into the building, yelling about the Lamia Confectores. With a look at Will, Lexsa ran with inhuman speed to the vampires side, looking up at him with hard eyes. "Explain yourself." She said, her tone commanding. "Are they really?" she asked Will as he went to the door. She didn't need to hear his answer, as it was all over his face. "Everyone out!" she yelled as loud as she could. Only one or two looked at her, and left. The others dismissed her, and continued partying. "Come on," Will said, "We've done what we can. We need to get out of here." He began pulling Lexi with him, towards the back, furthest from the Slayers. Lexi wanted to warn the others, though, and was torn, causing her to hesitate. "Lexi, now!" he yelled, cursing as he jerked her along. "You!" Lexi called back to the boy that had warned them, "Come with us! We can still get out of here," she called, hoping he would listen. He reminded her of someone, someone she had known as a child, and didn't want him to be lost.

(( Well kinda' both. I mean they don't have like super human skills, but they are totally more stronger and stuff than an average human if you get what I'm saying. Like their senses are sharper, but obivously not vampire sharpe.))
Nicoleta watched as Jace took off and she called after him, but he didn't stop. She cursed before motioning for Alex and Sarah to follow her. That kid really needed to learn how to listen. She caught up to Jace and Violet in enough time to hear the last bit of their conversation. "Okay, new plan." She told Alex and Sarah. "I'm going to go inside with Jace and Violet. Apprently a vampire knew we were here, so we probably don't have a lot of time but at least we can get inside and see what we're up against. You twostay close by. If things sound like they're going wrong, don't hesistate to come inside." With that Nicoleta sprinted ahead catching up with Jace and Violet. "It's the three of us going inside. And when I say stay together, I mean stay the hell together." She commanded, aiming it more towards Jace. They were almost to the entrance now. "If you have anymore information for us before we go in we would definitely appreciate it."

Violet hated following Jace, but she resigned herself as they were teammates. There's no "I" in "team", she reminded herself glumly. "Great," she said, looking around for escape routes now. There were 3, as far as she could tell: one down a main road, and two others down alleyways. But then Jace ran ahead with a strange urgency. "Hey, wait! Are you crazy?! We're supposed to go meet with Nicoleta first!" Despite everything that screamed at her to turn around and let him get killed, she ran after him. Sweet baby Jesus, she thought to herself, haven't two months of this been enough punishment? And now he leads me to my [expletive] death. It was then she noticed Nicoleta running with them, and she nodded in agreement. "Jace, that means you, too!" she warned angrily, not wanting a death sentence on any of them. Even the complicated jerk.
Daniel was startled when an older vampire came up to him, spluttering something incoherent that she probably assumed was a "yes". Yet, even though she yelled even louder than he, only two others fled. The vampire left him then, as he practically begged the mass to listen to him. "Hey, listen to me!" he yelled. "You're all going to get killed if you don't leave now! Hey!" He was shoved to the side as he pulled a vampire to face him. But then the vampire from before called out to him, and he was torn: if these vampires were killed, he would be in trouble, but if he stayed and tried to get people leave, he would likely be killed along with them. So he made a decision, and followed the two older-looking vampires to the back.

Sarah only nodded when Nicoleta spoke, though she wasn't happy about it. She looked up at Alex, wondering if he would actually listen or not. If he didn't, she would go with him to cover his back, of course, but Nikki would be pissed.
"I.. Can't," Jace said, frowning a little as Nicoleta and Violet both told him he had to stay with them. "Really. Don't worry- even though it's full of age-old vamps and stuff, the 'bosses' aren't here, which means less protection and muscle. You'll be fine," he said, glancing at them as he ran beside them. "There's," he paused, looking away, his face hiding all emotion. "There's something I godda do. Kill me later," he said. With that, he ran inside of the building. Jace was instantly struck by a sort of pulsing wave- the beat of the music and bodies hitting him with an almost tangible force. Gritting his teeth, he made himself calm down, letting his eyes go dull. He looked a lot like one of the vampire toys when he tried- lifeless and pet-like- as long as no one got too close. He walked towards old stairs, climbing them silently. He realized, though, that no one was even paying attention- the sap from before must have been ignored. Good, he thought to himself as he began scanning the faces of the crowd before him. He knew he didn't have much time- the other slayers would soon kill someone, and all hell would break loose. If he was going to find them, he had to do it right then.
Lexi was glad to see the younger vampire following them out, back towards the back of the building. It was clear, from what she saw, but only for now.

"What? Jace, you [expletive]!" she yelled after him, fighting the urge to run after his sorry ass again as he disappeared into the building. Instead, she crouched next to a wall outside the warehouse. He was being weird again. Weirder than normal. They wouldn't be detected right away, but it was only a matter of time before some poor soul noticed their presence. "Nicoleta, what's the plan?" she asked, turning to the leader. Once they started killing, it would get real messy real fast.

Alex didn't protest when Nicoleta told them to stay behind, although he was pissed as hell. He sighed watching them disappear into the building, leaving Sarah and him alone. "This blows." He muttered before heading over to the building across from the party and leaning his back against it. He had a weapon at ready - his handy-dandy wooden knife - just in case he needed to use it. He let a deep breath out before looking over at Sarah. It was funny how they ended up together. Probably because they both weren't rash and took off every opportunity like others did. God forbid someone be sane in the group.
"JACE!" Nicoleta screamed as he ran ahead. He was really planning his own funeral here. She chased after him, but slowed as she entered the building. "Dammit we lost him." She mumbled to Violet, although she doubt the girl heard her against the booming music. "He better had a damn good reason for all this." She scanned the crowded room but didn't see any signs of him. "We might as take a look around." She partically shouted to Violet. "I don't think they got the memo that we're here."

Sarah watched as Alex walked back to a building a little ways away from their target, unsure as to whether she should follow him. She finally decided that she would, but that she wouldn't get too close to him. He reminded her of a tomcat, feral and wild, but just tame enough to come near you. She didn't want to frighten him off, skittish as he seemed. "We could always go in," she said, watching the building anxiously. She was afraid for her friends, even for Jace, hot headed as he was. "Or stay out here, doing.. Nothing." She ended lamely, frowning slightly. She normally wouldn't suggest something like that, but if Jace was right, if it was a huge group of vampires, shouldn't they all go in?
Jace grit his teeth, still looking around, when a hand grabbed his shoulder. He didn't try fighting back, as that would blow his cover, and instead let himself be turned around. "Hello handsome," said the male vampire, his eyes shining. "Aren't you pretty. Are you owned? I'm sure they wouldn't mind, tempting as you are," he said, his fangs poking out the more he spoke. "Why don't you follow me, cutie. We can have a little fun," he said, his hand forcefully pressing on Jace's back, making him stumble forward. "Or, I could just have you here," the voice came again, though it was no longer nice sounding. Jace felt the air around his neck cool, and just as lips touched him, he thrust a steak up into the vamps ribcage, penetrating the heart. "Damnit!" he swore as the vampire gave a shriek before dying. He had wasted his only chance, his last chance! Jace had never hated anyone as much as he hated himself in that moment, as the music stopped playing and vampires from all over turned to stare at him, having scented their companion dying, so he guessed. Shit, he thought, just before all hell broke lose around him. Vampires started shooting towards him, while a few others ran for the exits. He saw Violet and Nicoleta standing in the dissipating crowd, but said nothing, his attention focusing instead on the vampire nearest him as it started to attack. All he had wanted was to find him, that one specific vampire. There was no chance now, he thought, clenching his jaw as he was shoved up against a wall. He struck out as he could, killing one vampire, but it was of little use- there was another waiting, to take its place, and another after that. It was like the monster Hercules fought, with the growing back heads. Jace gave a sharp cry of pain as something cut into his side, but he kept fighting. He was worried, he realized, about his group. He never should have told them about the party- he should have let them follow the false lead. Sure, there were only about thirty vampires here, but that was quite a few, when compared to the three or four on a normal night.

[Got to go after this. :C I might be back later, though.]
Violet was on edge as they slipped into the building seemingly undetected. "What was that?!" she yelled back. "Wow, I guess. We're about to give them a rude awakening, huh." She scanned the mass of pulsing bodies, only to see a vampire on the stairwell approaching the figure standing there. "Hey, isn't that Jace?" she screamed, her stomach dropping, but too late. Everything came to a screeching halt as the vampire died. The whole mass broke apart, either heading toward Jace or out toward the exits. Needless to say Violet let out a long string of curses, and a few vampires turned toward them, which made her curse even more. "Jace, if you live through this, I'm going to rip your [expletive] head off, resurrect you, and then [expletive] rip your head off again!!" she screamed from across the room as she turned back-to-back-with Nicoleta, although he probably wouldn't hear her seeing as he was busy. She pulled out her wooden knife and jabbed it into a young-looking vampire, who let out a gurgled cry as its body dissipated into ashes. She repeated the procedure, ducking and dodging, but there were too many, and across the room she could hear Jace's cry of pain from across the room. It was accompanied by one of her own - her break in concentration let a vampire swipe a claw across her face. Blood dripped down. "Nicoleta, we need to get over there!" she shouted, another two collapsing into nothing.
Daniel jumped as all hell broke loose, glancing around frantically for the exit. "They're here," he told the two others, although they couldn't have not already guessed. "We need to leave now!"

Nicoleta turned when a fight of some sort broke out. Her eyes were immediately drawn to the dark haired boy in the middle of it. "Shit." She cursed before running towards Jace, assuming Violet would followed. She thrusted her knife into the first vampire she could grab a hold of, twisting it until the vampire hissed in pain and fell to the floor. Another one reached for her, but she dodged his move. She responded with a firm punch, but missed her target - the center of his face - and barely made contact with the vampires face. It didn't seem to affect him at all for in the next moment he lunged for her.
Alex remained quiet, but shook his head. "I don't know-" He cut off as soon as he started to see people fleeing from the building. Alex straigthened up, his hand tightening around his knife. "Let's go." He said before running across the street, not bothering to check and see if Sarah was following. His mind snapped into hunting mode as soon as he entered the building. He managed to kill a couple vampires as they fled and fought his way over to the rest of the group. "It's like a damn hive in here!" Alex yelled over the screaming and the music - which was ironically still playing. Nicoleta ducked a vampire's attack. She whipped her leg around, knocking him off his feet. In a quick motion she stabbed him in the back and through his heart. That's when she heard Alex and looked up relieved to see him and Sarah joining in on the fight. She sighed at his comment. He was right - there were so many of them.

((Sorry, it's relatively loser-ific. I had to help my rentals, then rushed, so if you don't understand a part, PM me, and I'll explain. XP)) Jace couldn't hear, couldn't think. He was on overdrive, his body taking over to attack anything that came too close. He was, by this time, bleeding from an array of wounds, ranging in severity, and was covered in a fine layer of dust. "Come on, who's next!" he yelled, smiling a crazy smile as two vampires attacked at once. He was still looking, looking into every face he killed, and those around him, hoping to find who he was looking for, once and for all. "Where are you, Claudius!" Jace screamed, his wild eyes searching around him. There was a slight break in the attacks, a lull in the stream of vampires, and Jace was able to see through the crowed, to where a lone male vampire stood. "You," Jace whispered, almost dropping his weapon. Moments later, vampires poured towards him again, breaking his connection with the man. It was only for a second, but that was all he had needed. He fought even harder, trying to break free of the crowd, hacking and stabbing with all he had. He had to get free, to get to Claudius. He had to. Had to. Jace realized absentmindedly that the floor was getting slick, and it was getting harder to keep his baring's. With a strange smile, he realized that the water on the floor was really blood. Vampires don't bleed, he thought to himself, but pushed the thought away, focusing instead on the place he had last seen Claudius. He stabbed one more vampire in the chest, and dodged another, moving with cat-like grace, before bursting free of the pack of vamps. Claudius, however, was no where to be seen. Looking back, Jace saw that there weren't too many vampires left- maybe twelve, and sent a silent thank you to the others. They had taken out a lot of vampires, and he might not have survived without them. With that thought, he turned and ran out of the back, wondering if Claudius had escaped there. What he found was about six other vampires, trying to escape. He wasted no time on them, though, figuring someone else would get them, and continued searching. He caught a glimpse of Claudius walking behind a nearby building, and quickly followed the vampire, only to realize too late that it was an alley. Two vampires blocked his exit, while Claudius and some woman stood before him, her back facing Jace. "Go ahead, kill me," he said, his eyes shining dangerously. "Or try. I'll take you with me, Claudius." Jace said, spitting some blood out on the ground. "Still mad about your mother, child?" the older vampire asked, smiling a little. "What was it your father told you? that I killed her?" Jace said nothing, taking his words as taunting pokes at his emotional wounds. "Poor boy.. That's not true, you see. I liberated her. One such as your mother should have immortality." At that moment, the woman turned around. "Mom?" Jace asked in a whisper, his wooden knife falling to the ground as he fell to his knees. He had lost a lot of blood, and this much shock with so little sleep was getting to him. As his vision slowly blurred, he watched as the woman, his mother, came closer, until she was kneeling beside him. The last thing he saw were her bright red eyes.. -- Sarah entered the fight with Alex, taking out a vampire here and there, until she saw a bad-looking Jace run out the back. "I'll follow," she said, yelling to anyone in her team that was listening as she dashed to the door. She was brought up short by the vampires there, and wondered why he hadn't taken them out. "Nicoleta, more back here!" she called, baring her teeth at the vampires. She started to fight one, as that was all that attacked her while the others started running. She hoped that there weren't too many left inside- the ones outside seemed injured, so they weren't going as fast as usual, which meant easy slaying. -- Lexi agreed with the younger vampire, grabbed his hand, and started running after Will towards their car. "Might as well blend in," she murmured, getting into the car quickly. "Will, start it," she said, voice loud, but he wasn't listening. "Claudius?" Will said softly, looking into an alley next to where they were parked. "Ill be back in a moment," he said, swiftly running to where the other vampire stood. There was another, a female, crouched over a boys body, but Will didn't look at it. "What are you doing here?" William demanded, eyes wide. "Get out of here, lest they find you!" He didn't understand this- Claudius, whom had set the party up, had been inside the whole time. Why was he unharmed? He looked.. Satisfied, even. Why would that be? Unless.. "You did this," he said quietly, backing up. "You knew they would be here, and you didn't warn us. You set everyone up." Will had known that the older vampire was growing dissatisfied by those in the East, but he never would have guessed.. With a shake of his head, he turned, ready to leave, just as slayers came out of the building. ((Meh, if they're going to get caught, which I forgot about, they better not drive away. XD I had to rewrite the whole post for them.)) ((When I said "Help my rentals" I meant that they're fighting because my moms cheating, and wont stop yelling and crap, so I was talking to my sister and trying hard to focus, but was failing. XP Sorry about that.)) Edit again.. - ((Dun kill the momma, I've got plans for her and Claudius. Er, maybe. > ))

Violet fought toward Jace as Nicoleta did, getting slashed at on all sides. A vampire tripped her and she fell flat in the ground, twisting frantically to jab at the vampire's heart just as it lunged on top of her. She began choking momentarily on the ash, but recovered. She scrambled up, coughing, and dodged an attack, stabbing back-handed into her opponent's heart. It was then she saw Jace rush out of the room yet again, bleeding heavily and yelling about some guy named Claudius. "The mother[EXPLETIVE]," she yelled, using the anger to fuel her next attack. "I'll follow too!" There were only a few more, and rest of the vampires were the injured or cowardly ones. Running to the alley, she saw Sarah fighting a lone vampire as the others fled. She can handle it, Violet thought, continuing on. She grimy noticed the trail of blood that gave away Jace's path. Turning a corner, she could see the whole scene: Jace, passed out on the ground; a woman vampire crouched over him; four others scattered around. Time slowed for a moment, but it took her literally one millisecond to launch herself onto the nearest vampire with a ferocious battle cry, stabbing it in the back as they fell and quickly driving it up into the ribcage of the other who bore down upon her. She didn't think, she didn't feel, there was only the sensation of time slowing and adrenaline pumping through her veins. And the picture of one of her own in trouble, even if it was the one she hated the most, seared in her mind as she, still screaming, ran at the woman crouching over Jace. "You're not turning anyone today, you little [expletive]!!"
Daniel followed the woman obediently, glad that it was looking like they would escape in time. But then the man sprinted away with that impossible speed, and his heart sunk. "What's he DOING?" Daniel asked, itching to make a getaway. "He's going to get us all killed for good!" He really didn't want to go after the man, whom he didn't even know, and put himself in more danger, but the woman looked like she was force him to.
[Aw dude, I'm sorry. :c Family fighting is the worst. I thought the post was great, perfectly easy to understand. ;3]

((Just a future reference kitteh, the vamps on here don't turn to ashes. They die as bodies The slayers will have to eventually burn all the bodies to get rid of any evidence of vamps.)) So much was going on Nicoleta hardly had time to proccess what was going on. However, she did manage to see Jace run out and Violet soon after. Why were the two always running off places? The female Lamia Confectores stabbed the vampire she was fighthing before turning to Alex. "Finish the rest off." She commanded before running out the door. There wasn't many vampires left and Alex could easily take them. Nicoleta stood in her tracks when she saw a female vampire standing over Jace with male vampires beside her. Nicoleta easily reconized the woman as Jace's mother. Nicoleta threw her knife at the vampires, managing to hit Will in the shoulder. "You're way out numbered here. I suggest you flee like your friends or prepare to die."

Jace was still unconscious, but as Violet and Nicoleta came close, his mother backed up, baring fangs and hissing at them as she went to Claudius' side. He smiled, patting her head, before grabbing her around the waist and jumping, landing on a fire escape platform a ways up. "Take care, Nicoleta, Violet, and, of course, William," the older vampire said with a smile before they both 'disappeared' meaning they climbed up the building and ran from roof to roof. XD
Will had just about made it to the car when two slayers burst out. One of them threw a wooden daggar, one that was headed straight for his heart until he moved, causing it to sink into his shoulder. "Bloody hell that hurt!" he said, gritting his teeth as he gripped it, jerking it out with a sick suction-like sound. He winced, dropping the damned thing to the ground before looking up where Claudius had escaped to. His attention quickly returned to the two slayers before him, though. Sigh an inward sigh, he signaled for Lexsa to take the wheel and get out of there, while she and the boy could, hoping she would listen. His answer came as she exited the car, her vampiric speed bringing her to his side in less than a second. "Of course not," he mumbled, none too pleased with her. He knew she would choose that, though- they had been friends for far too long for her to abandon him now. "Let us go, slayers. We're no danger to you, or anyone else," Will said, his British accent leaking through because of the tension and stress of the situation. His shoulder hurt badly, and he absentmindedly wondered why. Had she gotten that close to his heart, or was it something else?
Sarah finished the last two vampires near her off before joining her leader and Violet, who were facing two lone vampires. She didn't see the third in the car, of course, as her attention was on those two. Were they going to kill them, or what? She looked at Nikki, unsure.
((As you can see, that was my brilliant post. XD Now look at them. XP Anyway, yeah. Sorry about that. ))

Nicoleta watched as Jace's mother and the male vampire got away. She sighed letting them go; the group was in no position to go after them. They would meet again, she was sure of that. Her attention focused on the other male vampire, who was over by some car. She couldn't tell for sure, but it looked like there was two other vampires with him. She was surprised when he begged for mercy. Usually when you poke - or through a knife at - a vampire they usually attack back impulsely. "You have less than ten seconds to get the hell away from here." Even though it was against Nicoleta's nature and sickening to do so, she would allow the vampires to flee. They would roam the earth another day. Next time she wouldn't be so kind. Alex appeared in the doorway, looking pretty banged up. They all looked that way. "Alright. Let's clean up and leave. Alex get Jace back to the van. Violet, Sarah, help me gather up bodies. Alex grabbed Jace, carrying him on his shoulder as he made his way back to the van. The poor dude looked awful, but he'd live. Alex put Jace in the back and cleaned up some of his major wounds before hopping in the front seat and driving back to the girls. By then they had finished and Nicoleta was starting a fire. "That should do it." Nicoleta said as she watched the vampires' bodies burn. "Let's head out troop." She was beyond tired and couldn't wait to get home.

[My b, Holly, -_-;;]
Violet swung at the vampire just as she backed to Claudius's side, missing badly and cursed at the two as they escaped to the rooftops. Seeing Sarah and Nicoleta at the scene, she stood warily next to Jace's crumpled form (since nobody else seemed to care about him), keeping her knife ready in case the two remaining vampires attacked. "Alright, you son of a [expletive]," she said, narrowing her eyes at his various wounds. "You're lucky I don't kill you right now when it's easy. Jeez, how can a human being even bleed so much?" She was surprised when Nicoleta let the other vampires go: it was completely against her nature. She straightened and did what she was told, burning the bodies in the fire with a kind if sadistic joy. "The plot thickens, I guess," she said tiredly as they climbed back into the van. She referred, of course, to Jace's mom. "Another reason for him to be even more messed up than he usually is."
If Daniel's heart still worked, it would be beating out of his chest. He couldn't get out of the car without the slayers noticing him, and he couldn't stay without them eventually noticing him. Stay or go, stay or go. He could probably outrun the slayers, but their aim with the wooden knives were deadly, and he, for some reason, felt bad leaving the two who had helped him so kindly... He listened more intently to the conversation. Wait, the slayers were letting them go? Was he dreaming? This was something so completely against their code it was absurd. But he quickly caught himself and fled with the other two, glancing back at the slayers as they flashed away. "I do believe the world has turned upside down," he said of the nights events, once they were safely away.
((Done editing. V-V Sorry Sher, I think it'd be a little OOC for him. xD))

Jace, uh, stayed unconscious while Alex was patching his wounds. XP He will probably begin to stir when they're all in the car. XD -- Sarah said nothing, following Alex as he carried Jace to the van. She was silent the entire time, watching, waiting, thinking, even though she knew she was supposed to be burning bodies with the others. "Thank you," she said to Alex suddenly, her voice quiet as she looked up at him. She had been pinned down in there by a large vampire, and Alex had saved her. She blushed a little, looking down at the ground. She felt as though she was the weak link in the group, as though she wasn't as good as the others, but she never brought the feeling up to anyone. It made her sad inside, knowing that she wasn't as able as they were, or that, God forbid, she could let them down in the end when they needed her most. A few moments later, she turned and ran, returning to the other girls, dragging the last few bodies to the fire, and loaded up when Alex arrived. She said nothing more to him, and kept her eyes down. -- Lexi breathed out when the slayers left, though she in no way needed to. "Let me see," she said, frowning at Will. When the younger vampire came to join them, she nodded to him, smiling a little. "Yes, that was quite the ordeal," she said, unbuttoning Williams shirt so she could look at his wound. He winced, though, and pushed her hands away before she could see. "Lets just get out of here," he said, voice quiet. He glanced at Daniel on his way to the car. "You have a place, or do you want to crash with us?" He asked, getting inside of his car. "I'm Will, by the way, and that's Lexi," he said, gesturing to the female vampire as she got in as well. ((Kitteh- hahahaha, I know. :3 He's so cute.)) ((Holls, what would you say to me making the vamps have to break in/go to the slayers place for some reason? Why would I do that? Just because. It can{if you accept} be now or later or whatever.))

Nicoleta sighed at Violet's comment. The plot certianly did thicken. "I know. He's going to be something else tomorrow." She knew she still had to deal with his inabilty to listen, but she thinking about confronting him about it, after what happened that night, made her feel guilty. "Status report." She said as the van pulled onto a street. "How's Jace holding up back there?"
Alex had only mumbled a ' your welcome' to Sarah and hadn't said anything else. As he drove, he kept thinking about her graditude. It wasn't like killing vampires was deseriving of a 'thanks'. He was just doing what he always did. He would have done it for anyone else. Still, he was glad she had said it for some reason. It felt good to be appreciated. To be needed. He glanced at her in the rear view mirror; a common thing he found himself doing lately. She had a few stratches and looked a little banged up, but she still pretty. He had never realized how flattering her outfit made her look until... "Alex!" He heard Nicoleta scream. He slammed on his brakes nearly crashing into the car in front of him. "Red light idiot." Alex shot his cousin a glare before returning his eyes to the road.
((Let's hold off on that idea for now. There's a lot happening right now.))

Sarah stayed quiet as Violet and Nicoleta spoke, instead thinking. Though she still felt bad about almost dying, she was trying to make herself think about other things. Everything she thought about, though, went back to that topic, keeping her mind in an endless loop. When Nikki asked for a status report, though, she saw her chance to distract herself. Unbuckling her seatbelt, the young slayer turned in her seat to get a better look at Jace, whom they had laid in the back seat where he had been on their way up. "He's lost a lot of blood, Nicoleta, but.." she paused, looking him over, "I think he'll be fine. Some rest and stuff, and he'll be back to normal in no time," she said with a smile. She grimaced then, thinking about 'normal' Jace. "Whether that's good or not is up to you to decide," she murmured, making a face. Really, Sarah didn't mind Jace much. As a matter of fact, she kind of admired him. He was never weak or vulnerable- always in control, cool, stoic. Even when he was banged up as he was now, he looked good. She sighed, turning back into her seat when Nicoleta screamed Alex's name and the van stopped suddenly, throwing her forward. She let out a cry of surprise, her arms shooting out to protect her face from hitting the dash. When they had stopped completely, and she had stopped herself from hitting anything, she laughed. She couldn't help it- she could have died by the hands of vampires tonight, but for a moment, she had been terrified by the thought of flying through the windshield. "Whoo," she said, breathing out a sigh of relief. "What a rush," she said, smiling as she sat back down and buckled up. She smiled at Alex through the rear-view mirror, wanting to assure him that she was okay, that she wasn't mad or anything about being flung forward. That is, until Jace woke.
--
Though unconscious, Jace was dreaming. There Jace stood, a young boy, next to his mother, his small hand tucked into hers. They were waving at his father as he drove away- he had to go to work that night. Little Jace looked up to see his mother smiling, and he smiled back, silently raising his arms to her so she'd pick him up. "That's my big boy," his mother said, her voice soft and full of love. "Lets go inside. How about some.. Chocolate milk?" she asked, giving him a sly smile. Of course the little boy agreed, nodding fast and hard enough that it kind of hurt his neck. It made his mommy smile, though, so he didn't stop. He held onto her as they went back into the house and into the kitchen. She sat him on the counter while she got out what they'd need- milk, chocolate syrup, a spoon, and two cups. He was happy that she was having some too; his baby sister would love some, he bet. His mom hummed and sang while she made it, Jace eventually joining in. They sang together, him giggling every once in a while, until she suddenly stopped, her head jerking up as she looked at the ceiling. "Shhh," she told him silently by placing a finger to her lips. She picked him up and handed him his sippy-cup of chocolate milk, carrying him quickly to his bedroom. "We're going to play, okay? Mommy's going to put you in your club house, and you have to see how quiet you can be. You can't make any noise, and you can't come out until daddy or I come get you. Okay Jonathan?" she asked, using his real name. That meant he had to listen good. "Okay, mommy," he said, crawling into the small room built into his wall. It was hidden from the outside- you had to know where to press to get in- but he had long ago decorated it as a clubhouse on the inside. Once he was in with his cup and bear, his mom closed the door, leaving him engulfed in darkness. He sat like that for a long time, until he had drank all of his milk and his butt hurt from sitting. Maybe she forgot me, he thought before crawling forward, pressing on the door to open it. He crawled out slowly, being quiet as he did, as he didn't want to get into trouble. Silent as a mouse, he walked out of his room, back into mommy and daddy's bedroom. Not there. He left, looking in the bathroom. Not there. Finally, it was time to check the kitchen. Jace knew something was wrong as soon as he entered the living room, as the door to the kitchen was closed and the lights were all off. The childs skin felt cool and clammy against the door as he pushed it open. He couldn't reach the lights on his own, he knew; he needed his stepladder, which was by the refrigerator. He silently began making his way over, hands outstretched as his eyes adjusted. Something was wet beneath his feet, making him wonder if his mommy had spilt milk earlier. Finally his foot hit his stepstool, and he carried it back to the door, where he sat it and climbed on. Once atop it, he flipped on the switch, flooding the room with a blinding light. Jace blinked rapidly, his eyes hurting even as he rubbed them. Finally, when he opened them, he looked around. The white tile was covered in scarlet, not only puddles and splatters, but little footprints belonging to Jace. "Mommy?" he called, jumping down. He walked slowly towards where a bar-like structure stuck out in the kitchen, afraid that a monster could be hiding behind it. Slowly, slowly, he peeked around.. "Run." his mother said, her face white around the scarlet on the floor. A man looked up, his face ruddy and covered in Jace's mother. "Do as mommy says, Jonathan." the man said, smiling a wide, fanged smile. Jace screamed. Jace woke up screaming, his voice that of a broken man. Finally, the sound died in his throat and he looked around, his eyes fevered. He clawed at the material of the car, afraid and angry and broken all at once. He didn't know where he was, what was happening- the dream hadn't worn all of the way off yet. Breathing in shallow pants, he tried to push himself up out of the seat, but only succeeded in hurting himself, making him let out a strangled noise of pain, his eyes and jaw clenching tight. Finally, the dream wore off. He didn't open his eyes, though. Instead, he turned his head to face the seat cushion so no one could see him. The fabric soaked up the only evidence of that single tear..
