(( Okie dokie))
It was dusk when Nicoleta stepped out of the den and made her way into the living room. She had finalized some details - mainly directions - for the hunt and knew it wouldn't be long at all until everyone was ready to go. Her boots moved soundlessly against the floor as her blonde curls bounced off her tight fitting jacket. Nicoleta usually wore all black clothes, including form-fitting pants and top. She only wore what would be most comfortable and partical when out slaying. Although to be honest, she looked pretty good in her hunting outfit. If nothing else, badass.
Alex came through the backdoor right as Nicoleta came into the living room. After his conversation with Sarah in grove, Alex had gone his seperate way. He had disappeared off into the woods again, tracking animals for practice. Although rabbits and deer are completely different from vampires, Alex figiured that it was tracking nontheless and would improve his skills. Sighing, Alex fell onto the couch, purposely averting his eyes away from his cousin. If he didn't love hunting so much, Alex would never come from the woods.

Sarah, having changed moments before, walked silently down the stairs, her black clothing fitting her in a way that made her dangerous and attractive all at the same time. It was a leather-like material, the usual hunting garb for Lamia Confectores, that was tough enough to withstand repeated heavy blows, while stretchy and movable enough to form to the Slayer and move when they move. Her brown hair hung down, and she absentmindedly pushed it back behind her ear as she watched Nicoeta, sneaking the occasional glance at Alex in. She was a little more curious about the boy now, because of the conversation she had had with him earlier in the orchard. She noticed that Jace was still nowhere to be found, and briefly wondered when he would show up. Probably right as they took off, as usual. She couldn't help but wonder what he did all of the time, all alone.. Shaking the thoughts from her mind, the Slayer girl focused on preparing herself for what was to come.
--
"Lexi, come here," Will said, his voice slightly annoyed. He had just gotten off of the phone with someone, Lexsa knew, but she didn't know who it was. "What?" she asked, looking over at the male vampire. When he only raised a brow at her, she sighed- though unnecessary- and got up, following him into the kitchen area. Really the room only held a refrigerator-like vault, one that held the only things a vampire would ever want or need- blood and booze. As it was, Will was getting out both. "What?" she asked again, slightly impatient with her friend. Will blew air from his mouth to make an annoyed sound right back, though his bothered mindset came more from the call than his friends attitude. "That was one of our friends in district B. Supposedly, the Slayers are on the move again." He said this with a nonchalant voice, and even his body language was aloof, but Lexsa knew better. "And?" she prompted when he didn't start speaking again. "Where are they going?" she asked, frowning. She was paying attention now. "From what Borris said, the West Side. There was something off about his tone, though.." Will trailed off again, pouring himself a drink. "But there was no mention of the East, right? Not of us?" Lexsa said, gesturing to the blood so he would make her some too. She accepted it, nodding her thanks. "No, no mention of us. Nor should there be. We've not been out flaunting ourselves." When Lexi gave him a Look, Will backpedaled. "Well, not in a vampire way." he amended. "Yeah, but with that new coven starting up.. It's only a matter of time, Will. We need to move soon." "Tomorrow, dear." Will said, then grinned. "Now, let me tell you about that young man from before."

Violet was already on the couch when everyone began to assemble, laying down absently with her feet dangling over the arm. She was already dressed in the traditional black leather hunting outfit: pants, top, jacket, and boots (the outdoorsy kind). "S'about time," she said, blowing a piece of hair out of her face. When Alex moved to the couch, she moved into a sitting position to make room. "The West Side, right?"
Daniel watched from a branch, obscured by leaves. He had been asked by some other vampires to observe the Lamia Confectores on the move and to warn others who were in danger. In his opinion, some of the vampires out there didn't deserve to be warned, but it couldn't be helped. Some of the more powerful ones would literally rip him to pieces if he caused the permanent death of one of their underlings. And so he watched, and he waited, undetected.

Nicoleta shifted her pure blue eyes over at Violet. "Yes." She confirmed. "There's been a lot sighted lately. Some sources are supicous of some type of gathering occuring soon. We could have a possible coven on our hands." It wouldn't be a first time the Lamia Confectores had to deal with a coven. Nicoleta remembered when she was younger her father and the older generation had to deal with one. They had gotten rid of it, although it had cost her father his life. Sighing, she forced the memory away. There was no time to be upset; only to avenge. "Let's get going." It was nearly dark out and the dead would be up soon. The skinny blonde made her way into the garage. She picked up the keys a white van and handed them to her cousin as he came through the door. "You drive." She commanded. Alex stood there but didn't take the keys. Like hell he was going to listen to her. Nicoleta glared. Her patience was running low on her cousin's stubborness. "Take the damn keys." She partically yelled as she shoved the keys into his hand before walking around the van and hopping into the passenger's seat. Rolling his eyes Alex got into the van and started it up. Once everyone was in, Nicoleta did a quick head count. She frowned seeing that they were missing one. "Where's Jace?" She asked, looking between Violet and Sarah.

"Here," Jace said from the very back of the van. He had come into the van sometime earlier, and was now lying down across the bench-like seat back there, his eyes closed lazily. He knew he would probably startle some of them, but he didn't care. He, for some reason, wasn't in such a good mood today. "I've been here the whole time," he said, allowing them to know that tidbit of information. "Now, to the East Side, Alex!" he said, pointing a finger up to the roof, voice heavy with sarcasm and mockery. "I can't wait to get to the party. I hear its a real scream. To die for," he said, his voice getting lower and deeper, an ominous tone mixing in with a slightly resigned one.
Sarah had started when Jace spoke, mostly because she herself had checked back there, and hadn't seen him. "God Jace, you scared me," she said, frowning a little. She sighed, face forward, listening as he spoke. "Wait, how do you know that?" she asked, turning to glare at him. If he had information, and didn't tell the group.. She would be mad. She glared at him, but it slowly faded as she took him in. He looked.. Different, somehow. There was an air about him, one that frightened her. She was afraid of him, yes, but also.. Afraid for him. She shook her head, once again bringing her eyes to the windshield before her. If Jace was to be in trouble, she wouldn't be the one to punish him. That was the leaders job.
«☼»
Back at the East side, Will and Lexi were getting ready. He had worked long and hard to talk her into going out, to the party that was to be held that night, and had finally won her over. "I'm glad, Lex. This'll be good for you," he said, smiling. They had finally agreed that, if Borris said the Slayers were going to the West, they would be safe in the East. Little did they know, as they drove out to the rave, that Borris had lied. At the time of the call, he was being held by other Vampires, ones that made him lie to William and Lexsa in order to draw them out to the party, the true target of the Lamia Confectores. Borris had later been killed by said Vampires, and Will and Lexi had agreed to attend the gathering. When they finally arrived, Will got out, smiling, before opening the door for his friend and helping her out, though she was more than capable of handling herself. By this time, it was quite dark out, and a bonfire roared in the distance. Lights filled the field, coming from glow-stick wielding people, humans and non-humans alike, as they danced together in one mass, their bodies pulsing and moving like a pile of worms. It was disgusting and exhilarating, all at the same time. They loved it, and were soon immersed in feeding, dancing, and partying.

Nicoleta jumped slightly when Jace spoke out from the back of the van. God, that kid could really gave her a heart attack sometimes. "Oh good. Sorry didn't see you there. Mind sitting up?" It bugged her how nonchalant he was taking this. It wasn't like they were going to the movies or anything dumb like that; they were hunting vampires for goodness sake. Nicoleta spun back around nodding for Alex to take off. She missed Jace's comment about the party, focusing more on getting her mind 'slayer ready'. Alex pulled out of the garage taking off down the quiet road. Alex glanced in the rear view mirror raising a brow at the boy in the back, waiting for him to answer Sarah's question. ((( I might have forgotten to add this to the first post, but all the vampires the slayers are hunting live in the city. So a party would more likely be in a building of some sort. ))

((My bad, I was thinking of parties around here. XD Its in an abandoned warehouse, then. XD)) "Actually," Jace said with a sigh, "I do mind. But for you, anything," the boy said, his voice a soft purr. He sat up then, though he was still slouched in an aloof way. As they left, Jace looked up, noticing that Alex was watching him, as though waiting for an answer too. Well, Jace figured he had nothing to say, until told otherwise. At least, nothing the others would find important. He was slightly surprised that Nicoleta wasn't speaking to him about it, but he didn't show it. He didn't even look at her. Instead, his dark eyes wandered to the window, which he sat, staring out of, ignoring the world. Sarah frowned, looking at their leader. Was she even listening? Did she not hear Jace, who obviously had some sort of inside information on tonight's job? She sighed, though, and said nothing. If Nicoleta didn't care, she shouldn't either. Her eyes met Alex's though, when he looked through the rear-view mirror. «☼» Ahem. Actually, Will and Lexi were at a party in an abandoned building. Instead of one large bonfire, there were fires in barrels all over. Other than that, everything's the same.

[Im laughin a lot]
Violet whipped around, clutching the seat with a very exaggerated, angry frown. "You mother[EXPLETIVE]," she hissed, mostly because yes, she had been started, and yes, Jace was maybe her least favorite person alive. She relaxed a little when he began talking, covering her hands with her face and groaning loudly at his sarcasm. "Don't you mean the WEST Side?" she asked, assuming he had made a mistake. "And what party? How do you know we're going to a party?" Turning to look at him then, REALLY look at him, she stopped talking. His dark air unnerved her a little...
Daniel picked up on tidbits of their conversation, narrowing his eyes. He heard various things about the East and West Sides, but couldn't tell which they were headed to anymore. His only choice now was to trail them, for a short while. [eugh]

((XD Why?))
Jace had said nothing as Violet cursed him- it was pretty normal. When she started talking about the West Side, though, he laughed. Once again, this laugh wasn't a happy sound- it was more dark, bitter, and a little mocking. "That's funny- the West Side?" Rolling his dark eyes, he turned them on her. "The only thing you'll find there are the fledglings, the ones that weren't invited." When she stopped speaking, he slowly turned his head to look out of the window once again. He still wasn't going to talk about how he knew about the party. Instead, he looked at Violet again, his eyes peering deep into hers, his dull, hers bright. "What's wrong, Violet?" he asked, cocking his head to the side a little. He stared a little longer, not blinking, before he yawned dramatically. "Wake me when we get there, will you? Thanks." He said, not waiting for a reply. Instead, he laid himself back down, closing his eyes again. He didn't sleep, though. He couldn't sleep. He hadn't slept, as a matter of fact, in a few days. It was too close. Too soon for him to stand it, to stand the dreams that came with it. The anniversary.
((Good question. I assumed so. I was picturing them as being super. ^^" ))

((Good question indeed. Yes they do. Speed, strength, sight, hearing. Basically all their senses are better.))
Nicoleta blinked, zoning back in when the van got quiet. "What's going on?" She asked Alex. He had been watching Sarah for some time through the rear view mirror, but glanced at his cousin she when spoke. "I don't know, aren't you suppose to know? You're leader and all." His voice rang heavy with sarcasm. He turned his eyes back on the road as they began to head onto the high way. Nicoleta spun around to face the group, catching the last bit of Violet and Jace's conversation. "Jace cut it out. Open your eyes and tell me what you know. What the hell do you mean the East Side?" She asked remembering him speaking about going their when they first got into the van.

[That first post with Jace I believe Sher deserves the Golden Globe for that post]
Violet could barely form words. "What are you TALKING about?" she spluttered. But he didn't answer. She kept staring at him, and he must've noticed her or something, because he started staring back again. She couldn't help but notice how dull his were, and now she was completely baffled. She could only reply when he had lain down again, supposedly trying to sleep. "Guys, I think he's gone off the [expletive] deep end. He's seriously creeping me the hell out, and this is even more than normal."

((XD Why, thank you.)) Jace didn't smile when Alex spoke to Nicoleta, even though he normally would. Instead, he sighed, breathing in deeply as though he was in a deep slumber. That was short-lived, though, as both Violet and their leader began talking to him. With a big sigh, he sat up, his eyes stormy as he glared. "Do you really not know? You let them fool you that easily?" He said, then shook his head. "You didn't think it was a little suspicious that the vamps were showing so much skin in the West Side? That is was a little out of character? Come on, give me a break." He turned his eyes on every one of them for some amount of time as he spoke, though the storm had gone out of them again. "It's a trick. A ruse. There's a party going on, on the East Side. That, my friends, is where you'll find the largest group of vampires you've ever seen." With that, he leaned his back against the seat. Everything was silent. Sarah said nothing, her eyes wide. What was going on? She was so confused; how did Jace know that? Why was he acting like that? What was the party for? Many questions filled her head, but she had no answers. She was struck silent by his last statement. ((It doesn't really have to be full of vamps. Its for drama, you know. ))

Violet was dumstruck for his entire sarcastic speech, but she silent for about one second after that. She was fed up with this whole thing. "And HOW the HELL do you know that?!" she almost-shouted, leaning toward him. "Why are you being such an aloof [expletive] about it? TELL US WHAT THE [EXPLETIVE] IS GOING ON." She swore, there could never be a painless hunt with these people.
Daniel followed them with ease as they got on the highway, trailing them in the bushes, unseen in the dark. They looked as is they were heading toward the West Side, but an argument had broken out in the car. He concentrated, setting his body on a kind of auto-drive and concentrating on the action in the van.

Nicoleta remained silent as Jace spoke. When he was finished she sighed, glancing at Alex beside her. Although she would never want to admit it, she could really use his help right then. Is what Jace said true? She had no way of knowing. It did seem suspicious, but the Lamia Confectores had really good sources. They hid themselves so well, the vampires couldn't know who they were - could they? "And why are you so sure it's a trick?" She asked after awhile.Ho do you know there's some party going on tonight? What the hell do you do during the day?" Jace was like one giant annoying myterious puzzle.

Jace smiled softly to himself, though it didn't reach his eyes as he glanced at Violet. "They say hate and love are one in the same," he said, before closing his eyes again. "It doesn't matter what I do. What matters is what I know, and I know that, if you go to the West, you'll find nothing. No one. Most of your spies don't even know what's going on. Some of them do know, I'm sure, but that's not my problem. My problem is that we'll miss all of the fun if you keep going West." He was silent for a moment before speaking again. "I've got my own ways of getting information. Information that is, obviously, much more reliable than yours." Sarah looked back at Jace, her expression worried and wary. She finally spoke up, though, looking at Alex in the rear-view mirror. "I.. I think we should listen to him," she said, her voice soft but firm in tone.

Violet suppressed the urge to punch him in the face, instead opting for a deadly glare. "HATE AND LOVE MY ASS," she shouted. She fumed through his entire second speech, but Sarah's words set her off. "Oh yeah?! Well, I think he's a lying [EXPLETIVE] who can't be trusted for a MILLISECOND!!" she said, getting really riled up now. "He's obviously crazy, just LOOK at him. It's like he hasn't slept in days!" She didn't talk to any of Nicoleta's sources or do any spying or anything, all she knew was this guy was a complete weirdo whose sole purpose in life was to piss everyone off, mainly her. Why would he help them now? He only hung around because of some sadistic obligation to his father.

(( I'm on an iPod so please forgive any bad grammar and such. I might be a lil slow too))
Nicoleta narrowed her eyes. "You gonna tell me where you get your information or continue to be a pain in my ass?" Knowing Jacd he'd pick the latter of the two. Alex had stayed quiet has violet and Nicoleta pressed Jace for info. Finally, he cut in. "I agree with Sarah. Lets trust him." Nicoleta turned in her seat to face her cousin, waiting for him go explain his reasoning. "Why would Jace lie to us? Sure he can be a twisted ass sometimes but he loves killing vampires just as much as the rest of us." Nicoleta let out a deep sigh; she was relieved that Alex had said something. This leader stuff was anything but easy. "Okay, east then." With that Alex turned the can, heading east for the party.

Violet let out a sound reminiscent of an animal dying a very painful death. "I'm done," she said, retiring herself from the conversation. She leaned against the window and looked out, fuming. Nicoleta was the almighty leader, she guessed, and there wasn't really any arguing. Also Jace was probably the most annoying and complicated person alive, and just thinking about him pissed her off.

((No problem. ^^ Poor Violet- she won't like that choice.))
Jace said nothing for a moment, finally speaking up once they turned East. "Had you gone West, I would have jumped out of the car. That, or stolen it while you all looked for vampires that weren't there." He smiled a little at the thought, but then went stone-faced again. Violets words played in his head- did they not trust him? He shook them off, though, replacing them with a black void. Why should they? It's not like he trusted any of them, either. He had only been with them for a month or two so far, and that was only because, after his father had been killed, no one else had wanted him. God was he tired, he realized, groaning mentally. He needed sleep, but he wouldn't allow himself to have any. Instead, he pictured her face, that of his mother, in his mind. Soon enough, he was dozing lightly, just between consciousness and sleep, so he could still hear everyone, and was still picturing his mom. Moments into his rest, though, her face changed. No longer was she his mother, but a monster- the thing he never wanted to see again. Jace jerked awake, giving a small cry as he did. His eyes were slightly wild, but no one was looking that he knew of in the time it took him to tame them. It was under a second, and he was calm on the outside. Sarah had jumped, again, when Jace yelled. She figured he was trying to scare them all again, and glared at him. "Stop that, okay? If there really is a huge group of Vampires waiting, I don't want to be all nervous because some jerk kept giving me heart attacks!" She took a deep breath, then, having momentarily shouted at Jace, and returned her gaze to the windshield.

((( nighty night kitteh. Eh let's hold it here til tomorrow))
Alex parked the van a few blocks away from their destination. It was far enough away to go undetected by super seeing vampires but close enough to run to if things got bad. "A few things before we get out. Everyone stay together until we reach the building. I want everyone to do a quick survey of the surroundings. Look for exists. Studying the type of people going in. Try and see if you can get a look inside. I want everyone back here in 10. Not later." She was dead serious. The safety of the group came first and foremost. "Everyone got that?"
