The human race is in danger. In one year, 93% of the human population was wiped out by a virus scientists categorized as FH-42. This deadly virus is extremely contagious and any humans will die within twenty-four hours of exposure. However, the remaining 7% are the final chance for the human race. They are immune to FH-42. Many challenges will be faced by these survivors, particularly when something is brewing in the bowels of the earth; possibly the source of this deadly virus.

;Name; Shaylee ;Gender; Female :Age: 24 ;Brief History; Shaylee used to live in a world of paradise, Florida. Usually she used to visit Florida a long time ago as a child, always loving the company of the ocean behind her. As she got older, her great interest in Marine Biology took her to specialize in marine life and aquatic behaviors. Her studies led her to move to Florida, sometime afterwards, she turned 23. The disease broke loose, causing chaos in the city. Shaylee hid on a boat she had in her apartment, floating on the water for almost 4 months, before surviving the first part of the epidemic. She never knew anything like this would happen, the world around her allowed her to get away before anybody else would, spending all her life continuing to study Marine animals in the water while she was trapped. ;Appearance; Shaylee is a lanky woman, with short dark red curls. She has a light tan skin, and small freckles dot her face. Her body is a bit skinnier, caused by the endless nights at the ocean, stranded. Her hair goes up to her shoulder, and cuts in an angle in the back, her front longer than the back. Shaylee has square glasses, that are a jet black color, written on the side is 'Shaylee.' Her legs are unusually long, making her about 5'9, and a very detailed cheek bones that define her face differently then others. Her hair has little strips of appearing gray, due to exposure of stress and discomfort. ;Personality; Shaylee is very protective over animals, willing to sacrifice anything for a single puppy in distress, giving her a nature loving perspective. Unlike most people, she isn't chaotic over the disaster, she continues to dwell on the subject, but still leads her journey in Marine Biology. Her likelihood of getting in a angered is low, making her easily accepting of a situation presented to her, with no evidence of either side being thoroughly correct. Nature always interests her, the only item she kept with her is her journal, filled with pages and pages of just animal studying, and Marine life sketches. She is often found pondering over a subject for too long, causing her to unusually stress over it for a matter of finding it out correctly. :Other: She MIGHT be a vegetarian, or eat normally depending on the survival amount for only plant eaters :-0

.::Name::.
Grayson
.::Gender::.
Male
.::Age::.
26
.::Brief History::.
Grayson spent his whole life in Florida, in a small town a few miles from Orlando. He didn't really do much with his life. He was just a mechanic. A mechanic who did a lot of hunting and had a lot of family values. When the virus hit, he didn't really know what to do. Their small town had a very tightly knit community and every time one of them died, it was like losing a family member. Once it had passed, he was the only one left. He stayed in his house and gathered supplies from the others around him, waiting for the day he would be take too.
.::Appearance::.
Grayson is a tall man, reaching about 6'3''. He weighs a hefty 230, but it's all muscle. He kept in shape taking care of himself, thinking the virus would pass and he'd be better for his family strong and healthy. However, his wife and kids were taken from him and society fell apart, so he's been alone and had to stay in shape to take care of the few people that came through his town and weren't exactly friendly. He has sun-kissed skin and sandy blonde hair, as well as a slightly darker, stubbly beard. His square jaw is firm and his haunted eyes are a deep blue.
.::Personality::.
Grayson isn't exactly all there. After everyone died and he was left alone, its understandable that he lost it. He's not very trusting of anyone and he also doesn't speak much, although he'll say a thing here or there to himself. He prefers solitude now and feels better off on his own. He's a tough guy and can handle pretty much anything, so he's not one to back down from taking care of business. He's not really a leader type and doesn't like others looking up to him. He also doesn't talk about much and particularly shies away from subjects like his family. .::Other::.
There's not much else to say. He had a wife and young kids, but that's about it.

Shaylee slunk into the heavily darkened alleyway, seeking the exact same solitude that enclosed her safely from the real world. Her eyes gazed heavily at the broken down cars that lined the streets of Florida, giving her a nostalgic whimper of the past. Her breathing quickened as a nearby rustle scampered across the rusted cement, giving her chills as her mind blew with interpretations. Carefully, her arms extended to open a car door, her car keys injected into the slot, that clunked a bit in the machinery, soon allowing her to step inside. The car stayed still as her body laid against the hard surface of the chair. Still gazing beyond her surroundings, she grabbed the bag that was inside the glove department, taking out a leathered journal book, that gave her a pleasing smile. She waited for the moment to finally use the booklet, knowing what the purpose of this little diary would be to her.her eyes scanned the pouch, taking out a pencil out of a pocket. Shaylee opened the car back open, looking again as the lifeless bag slipped onto the bottom of the chair, giving her a chill. Closing the door shut, she went along into a much more lighted area of the town, but blocked off from view. Her intentions were to finally write in the blank booklet.
Are you okay with the idea of cars being able to still run, but only of you have has. Because, yes Shaylee used keys to open the car, but I didn't want to accidentally it becoming an issue

[It doesn't matter to me, that seems realistic. They shouldn't get very far though. And sorry for my disappearance. I hope you still want to continue this.]
Grayson had a routine. A very specific routine that helped eat away most of his lonely days. He woke up, made himself a decent breakfast, cleaned up the house just the way Molly used to like it, patrolled the borders of town for any intruders, walked to the general store for anything he needed, returned home, worked on his car a bit to keep it in shape, patrolled town again and looked for things to stockpile, and then went through the motions of getting to bed. He didn't sleep much though. Most of his nights were spent lying awake, remembering what life used to be like. He missed his family like crazy. That was the only time he thought about them actively. Other times they just lingered in the back of his head like ghosts. That was mostly how his town was. Full of ghosts. They bugged him a lot, the people he used to know. Floated around him like a constant active conscience. Scolded him when he walked into a neighbors house, laughed at him when he tripped up. He constantly had critics plaguing him. That's why he stayed. He needed to make things right for them, make them feel like they didn't die for no reason. It just so happened on this day that while he was patrolling, he noticed a figure moving in the distance. Sure it wasn't anyone he knew and wary of strangers in his town, he moved stealthily toward it, finding the girl in a sort of concealed area. She seemed pretty harmless, unlike some of the men that had come through a couple weeks before. He'd had to chase them out after they disrespected his territory. Slowly, he approached her, his hand resting menacingly on the axe against his shoulder. "Can I help you?" he asked, his voice gruff partially from intimidation and partially from lack of use.

Shaylee stiffly took the book directly to her chest, staring oddly at the man who had showed up near her. Blinking, her breathing began to hype up, showing a slight fear of direct contact from the man. "I'm sorry, but I don't need your help," She huffed, giving him a faintly stern look, standing up with eyes laying on the axe he grasped. Her hands fell on her necklace, a dragon that held a knife in it's tail, to be taken out if she ever needed it. Contemplating if this guy was a threat, Shaylee gave the man narrow eyed stare, smiling as she walked backwards. "You must think this place belongs to you, don't ya?" She could feel the tense air that encased them, making it fairly hard to breath. Truthfully, she didn't have the courage to dominant herself through action, but her shallow words. Stepping back, Shaylee held onto the hood of her car, still staring at the man who had approached her.

Grayson raised an eyebrow when the women answered him back. He frowned at the response, his eyebrows dipping into a scowl. "I don't own it, but I keep the integrity of everyone that used to live here. This ain't no play place for little girls. Go on back to the flower hill you crawled out of and leave this town in peace." He watched her carefully, noticing how tense she was. He wasn't sure exactly what she would do. He didn't think she was a threat, she was much too small for him to be taken by surprise, but he also wouldn't allow it to put his guard down. He was smarter than that.

Shaylee gave him a startled look, taking her hands off of the dragon necklace, trudging forward as if to slap him, however she stood her ground without any contact. "And what's so wrong with being a lady, what's so wrong about frolicing through fields of happiness, while man are constantly treating us like garbage." Raising her voice, she pointed at him, scolding with a boiling temper. "Mister, I don't know the intentions you are trying to accomplish, but I can assure you that trying to intimidate me will not, be one of them." She turned around, staring at her dragon necklace, jerking her head back to watch the man's movements. "I wouldn't judge anybody by there appearance, nor do I plan on letting you abuse me with your words, disgusting." She sneered, taking out the small knife, taking it in her left hand, the sharp ridges scraped a bit of her skin, but she wasn't phased.

Grayson's eyebrows rose in surprise when the woman went into a raging fit and for a moment, it almost reminded him of his wife. Spritely and hot-tempered, always willing to defend herself. The similarities caught him way off guard and he didn't like the feeling, his eyebrows sinking back into their scowl. "Look, I just want you to leave this place, simple as that. I ain't gonna do anything else. Just get out of here by tomorrow and that's that." He turned away, not at all intimidated by the way she grabbed her knife. She wasn't even holding it right. He walked back to where he'd first seen her and began his way back along his perimeter check.

Sorry it's sooo short, I had a bit of writer's block :C
Astonished by his actions, Shaylee couldn't keep in her bubbled rage inside. She fell silent, watching as he got farther away from her, knowing she couldn't use words to convince him what he was doing was very rude, none-the-less a tad sexist. Remembering all the fights she used to have with her boyfriend, her eyes dripped with a little tear, showing she felt very vulnerable. Sniffling, her sadness turned into anger, before she quickly ran after the man, aiming to punch him in the neck.

Grayson didn't get very far before he heard footsteps coming toward him at a quick pace. Spinning on his heels, he saw the woman pummeling toward him, a look of anger twisting her face. Dropping his weapon so he wouldn't severely injure her, he stopped her pursuit in it's tracks, grabbing her shoulders and slamming her slight frame into the nearest car a little rougher than he had intended to. "Don't even," he growled unapologetically, letting go of her and stepping back. "I'm not gonna hurt you but don't attack me for no reason. Now get out. Last warning." He turned away and picked up his axe once more, swinging it up to rest on his shoulder.
