Today I took a field trip to the Chicago Institute of Art and I came across a bunch of landscape paintings by George Inness that I absolutely loved. They were just so amazingly beautiful that I had to share them with you guys!

Of course the images don't do justice to the physical pieces, but still breathtaking. The first is my favorite.

Wow.... -Deep breathing-
Yeah, this artist definitely has talent, especially his sense of perspective owo. It must have been fun seeing all these wonderful paintings! Was it the originals, or scanned and just put up for display?

The originals : ) Well, the first one anyway. That was the one that caught my eye and the only one of these three that I saw. I did a little research when I got home and the others popped up on Google, so I liked them and added them. The picture doesn't do the first one justice, but the lighting in its original is absolutely fantastic.

Wow, I love how the last one gives me that old, vintage-ish feeling, especially that night little sunset. It's cool that you got to learn about these pieces of art ^3^

I love the sunset! Silhouette-esque art has always been a preference of mine.
