Archmere Academy...
...one of the most prestigious boarding schools in the world. Nestled up in the mountains of Europe, it's withdrawn location allows students to focus on their learning without distraction. Only the most skilled of students are even considered for admittance. Every year, one student is selected for the title of Astre Redieux, the most prestigious title the school can give, to be remembered as the best and the brightest of their class. But ever since Headmaster Aeron took the position of head of the school, the Astre Redieux have been disappearing one by one...

Mystery
Please, don't have your character figure it out all at once. I'd like them all to slowly come to a realization, and it'll ruin the build-up if one person just suddenly gets it. I don't have a real specific solution to it, but if you want to get in on the general reason behind Headmaster Aeron's villany, just message me!
PG-13
I'm fine with a little cursing, but please don't get too out of hand. If anyone is uncomfortable with this, just say so and whoever is cursing is obligated to stop. Also, if it ever gets to that point, use "fades to black" or however else you want to do it.
Gender Equality
Please have equal amounts of every gender. You know how people get mad if their character doesn't get paired up.
Literacy
I want a minimum of three sentences. I know you can do it! Describe thoughts, feelings, surroundings, looks, etc.
Basic Courtesy
Please no god-modding, powerplaying, or anything else under that umbrella. Also, respect your fellow roleplayers and make sure to have some fun!

Kitteh's Characters
Name: Zoe Marie McCallister
Gender: Female
Age: Just turned 15
Year: Sophmore - She started out a grade ahead because her mother's psychologist tested her and found she had an unusually high IQ and so started her schooling early.
Special Classes or Skills: Zoe's strange, thought-provoking paintings (once called "a fresh new perspective on a traditional method") are exhibited worldwide, although she refuses to have them sold. She takes various painting and sketching classes.
Personality: Zoe is... a little eccentric. She's the kind who would rather sit by herself at lunch and "people watch" than socialize with others. Sometimes she does or says things people don't really understand. She tends to stare at people and doesn't care what others think; because of this, she tends to look somewhat disheveled or unkept at times (she's often scolded by the teachers for this). She's usually reserved and distant, and she rarely shows emotion past basic boredom or amusement. Most of her time is spent with her sketchbook and a pencil, or in her room, painting. She was gifted with an unusually high IQ but is somewhat of a rebel about it and doesn't really care at all ("squandering her talent," in the words of her mother). Yet, somehow, she gets strangely high grades.
History: When Zoe was seven, her dad walked out on her and her mom. She was heartbroken. Ever since then, she's built up walls everywere, never trusting anyone but not really showing it. She's become distant, using her art as her only way of expressing herself. Her mother, a reputable Senator in the U.S. with some serious connections, noticed her talent and applied her to Archmere when she was in elementary school. She attends the school on a 3/4 scholarship.
Luke somehow became her best friend and the only person she knows here, really. He holds the prestigious position of "Top Gay".
Looks:
Zoe is a petite girl, about 5'2", and thin. Not attractively thin, either. Her chest is pretty underwhelming, as well as her hips, but she doesn't really care. Her face is wedgeshaped, with large, bored, green eyes and a mess of freckles. Her lips are thin and her nose is small and slightly turned up. As for her hair, well, let's just say she has a major mane of red. It's so curly, thick, and unkempt that it sticks up or out in places. When straightened, it'd almost reach halfway down her back, but normally, the curls barely reach her shoulders.
Name: Daniel Edmund Waterhouse
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Year: Junior
Special Classes or Skills: He is fairly skilled at the violin and takes lessons at the school, although he plans to go into neuroscience. He also takes psychology on the side.
Personality: Daniel is a stereotypic rich kid. He was raised to join the highest ranks of society, learning all the rules of courtesy and all the like. Consequently, he's a bit of a teacher's pet - he follows the rules he believes to be reasonable to the letter - but if he thinks something is not up to par, he won't hesitate to let you know. He is very stubborn and will get what he wants through some strange means, although his physical threat isn't much more than maybe a lengthy lecture. He has a hard time being casual aboutt anything and is an extreme perfectionist. However, under his layers of class and snobbiness, Daniel is really only a lonely soul at heart. He can tell that others don't really like him, yet he can't seem to change himself. He will do anything for his friends, if he can manage to win over someone, but can be a bit of an unintentional pain at times.
It also goes without saying that he has a British accent.
History: Daniel is the youngest child of a very wealthy, powerful, and old English family. He was given only the best of schooling throughout his life, in which his parents were often absent. They were always away on a business trip or cocktail party, making connections or making a deal. Over time, Daniel's parents started to become these strange entities that were never satisfied with him, only talking about what he needed to improve upon when they had a chance at all to talk. His older siblings all being out of high school, already successful adults or poised to be, he could only let his family down. And so he became an extreme perfectionist, never good enough for himself or anyone else. He came to Archmere because it was the best school in the world and his parents could afford the staggering tuition.
Looks: Daniel is a scrawny boy, small and thin enough to be a non-existent physical threat to pretty much every other boy ever. He has pale skin with no freckles, and light blue-grey eyes that are characteristic of his family. His hair is dirty blond and just a little shaggy but is usually combed neatly to the side. He has high cheekbones, a gaunt look, and a perpetual expression of disdain.
