Name: Jonathan "Jace" Herindale.
Age: Eighteen.
Gender: Male.
Appearance: This is Jace.Personality: Jace is a dark boy, one whose temper can get the best of him when his emotions are not strictly in check. He can also be very sarcastic if he wants to be, is very confident about his looks, and has dated a lot of girls, that is, he "gets around." Despite his luck with girls, he never forms emotional attachments for more than a brief amount of time if at all, because "to love is to destroy,” and love, therefore, makes a person weak. Jace gives the impression of hating most people, but can be quite chivalrous toward women. He is extremely arrogant at times, which can get on people's nerves. Jace's outer personality hides a deep inner hatred, even though he has a strong moral core, and he also shows some sadistic tendencies and at times can be extremely vindictive, though often only cruel to protect those he loves. He thinks that he is much better than others, even though he thinks he's pretty worthless at times.
Disorder/Disease: Grandoise Delusions and substance abuse. Why are you in here?: Jace was caught by drinking by the school on several occasions. They wanted to tell his parents, but Jace has been living alone for years now. Instead, they called Child Services, and he was 'checked up on'. He showed signs of sever depression, substance dependency, and other harmful behaviors, so they eventually had him committed.
Who sent you?: The state.
Name: Emmet Lee Jones
Age: Seventeen.
Gender: Male
Appearance: Emmet JonesPersonality: At a glance, Emmet can most bluntly be described as... Odd. At a young age, Emmet was diagnosed with Aspergers, landing him in the moderate area of the Autistic Spectrum. Although his symptoms are not nearly as severe as some, this can still make social endeavors a struggle for him. Emmet frequently has trouble understanding what he should do in some situations, such as when someone is crying or using sarcasm. Over the years he has become accustomed to this sort of thing, but his reactions are often delayed all the same. However his delayed reactions do not stop him from caring deeply about those around him.
Emmet has discovered that he has a talent with music. Before he was sent to Lockwood, he was seen spending many an hour, plucking away at his most prized possession- an acoustic guitar. He finds satisfaction in the activity, with the added fact that sometimes the company of a sheet of music and his guitar is easier for him to manage then the company of other people.
Emmet is usually happy to be in other people's company for a while, but his literal thinking and quirky demeanor can rub some people up the wrong way. When his brain can't cope with the social pressure, he retreats back into his world; be that reading, or simply residing in the company of music. If it wasn't clear already, Emmet does like a little space.
Another trait that Emmet holds is bravery. Of course if you told him this he would deny it to no end, but it is true all the same. Emmet is brave. If he weren't quite so brave, he never would have had a chance at getting this far.
When it comes to how he is around other people, well... That's a bit more complicated. Emmet tends to avoid eye contact with strangers, and tends to wring his hands when he is nervous or bored. Another Autism and OCD-inflicted one of his quirks is that all of his possessions (and many of other people's possessions) must be arranged in height order. All of the objects around his bed are arranged in this way, and he tends to become increasingly frustrated if someone refuses to "put it back where it's supposed to go."
Emmet keeps his emotions very poised for most of the part. He will rarely cry, but he will laugh if he understands the joke and smile if he has a reason to smile. But for most of the part, his pale face rarely wears a trace of emotion.
Disorder/Disease: Misophonia, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Asprger Syndrome or otherwise 'higher functioning' autism. Why are you in here?: Emmet has Aspergers, a form of autism. Some aspie's have explosive anger when pressured. This is what got him sent here.
Who sent you?: His foster parents.
History: When Emmet was born, the doctors were able to tell right away that there was something.. Off about him. His mother, sixteen and single, put him up for adoption right after she had him, as she and her parents had thought her unable to care for a baby. Life as a baby wasn't hard for him, at least as far as he remembers, so that wasn't bad. He grew up in the system, though, moving from home to home. No one wanted to keep him, because of his 'issues', which made placing him increasingly difficult. Finally, though, Emmet was accepted into a home with four other children, one that was run by two kind people. He was lucky, he knew, so he didn't let his circumstances get him down, even when the other children attacked him. One day, though, things grew too big for him to handle, and he lashed out. Emmet didn't actually mean to do what he did. He had gotten mad and shoved the other teenage boy, yes, but he hadn't meant for him to fall down the stairs, or for him to break bones. Emmet had just been so tired of being hurt, he wanted to stand up for himself. When the parents of the boy returned, though, Emmet was sent away, to Lockwood, for his behavior.
Name: "Willow or Mark. I'll let you know."
When you have no set gender, names can be a little touchy. When she's a girl, she's Willow. When he's a boy, he's Mark. Usually, s/he's pretty good at telling you; that is, if you can't tell by the way s/he acts.
Age: Seventeen, on the outside.
Gender: "Male, female, both or neither. I guess we'll have to see."
Being gender-fluid, there's really no answer here. S/he'll let you know, though, by the way s/he acts. You'll be able to guess it.
Appearance: "This thing you see? It's not me. Not always."Willow is pretty, if not average-looking. She has short dark brown hair and big, green eyes, the sort that don't look quite normal. She's average height for a girl- 5'7"- but is pretty short for a guy. She bites her nails, so they're never very long, and sometimes they bleed a little. It's a nervous habit, but it's not too bad. Her lashes are thick and dark, framing her stunning green eyes nicely. Her skin is a medium color- not tan, but not so white it's translucent either. She has natural curves, but she's not fat. Her body is muscled, though not overly so- just the amount one gets from working out or defending themselves. Overall, she's pretty, even though she only likes her eyes.
As
Mark, on the other hand.. He's short for a man, and can be kind of defensive about it. Obviously, he can't make himself taller- he is Willow, just when she feels like a he. He imagines himself as tan (he is outdoorsy, after all) with plenty of muscle, short dark hair, and brown eyes. He looks sort of rugged in his own eyes, with a little scruff on his face. He would be thought of as handsome or "hot" if others could see him, and he knows it.
Personality: "If we really are going to be around each other, I guess you'll find out."
Willow is a quiet girl, one that has deep thoughts and feelings, the kind she doesn't want to share with others. This doesn't make her a pushover or someone to be ignored, though, because she's not. Rather, others tend to keep an eye on her, because of the darkness she seems to have. She can be rather rude at times, as people tend to annoy her. She has a temper, and though it's usually in check, it can overwhelm her. With a quick wit and a fast tongue, her sarcasm can be heavy when she actually talks, and she'll say things (lies or not), just to see your reaction. She's independent to a fault, and her tomboyish look and act are all there to keep herself hidden, to make her look tougher than she actually is. Sure, she'll pick a fight with anyone or stand up to anyone, but that's all for show. Inside, Willow doesn't like herself. She hasn't for a long while now. Being alone doesn’t bother this girl at all (at least, that’s what she says). In fact, she prefers it over large clusters of people. She likes having her hair short, as you can see, and her green eyes- they’re her favorite part of herself. Being treated like she is a joke, or somehow unimportant makes Willow mad. She tends to dislike group activities, or others in general, though she won't mention why. She also dislikes speaking about herself, the most tender areas being her feelings, and her history.
Mark is quite a bit different from Willow. He seems to enjoy being around others, joking, and having a good time. He loves guns and knives, and is good with both. Like her, though, he's independent and doesn't enjoy asking for help. He, too, refuses to talk about histories or feelings, though for him, it's a guy thing. He's kind of a brute, enjoying roughhousing and playing around, but he is chivalrous and likes to help people when the time comes. He can be a flirt, but he will only flirt with females. When it's Mark, he might complain about having breasts or not having 'junk', because he feels like he should have those parts. If it's Mark, he'll talk and joke with you, hang out with the group, and actually enjoy himself- he's actually outgoing. All around, he's a pretty good guy.
Disorder/Disease: Gender Identity Disorder.Other: None.
Name: Sarah/Jade Campbell
Outside Of Sarah CampbellAge: 17
Gender: Female
Personality: Sarah is rather shy, unable to trust right off the bat because of several things that have happened in her past. After all, because she's 'crazy', she has no say in what happens to her. She has episodes at times, periods of depression or moments of manic behaviors, but rarely hurts anyone other than herself. This isn't to say that she's a Sally Sobs-a-lot; on average, Sarah's a rather happy young lady. She enjoys moments of peace, but loves the company of a kind soul. Intelligent conversations are something she looks forward to, as well as reading and writing her stories. Her smile is something of soft beauty, the whispered sigh of a newborn butterfly; something one should not take for granted. Her heart, though she shields it so, is big and warm, ready to be filled with love.
Inside Of JadeJade, on the other hand, is a different story. Developed by Sarah at a young age for protection, Jade has long since taken on a life of her own, and quite literally. Her body, she says, looks nothing like Sarah (blue eyes, black hair that she cuts herself, etc.), but since no one else can see her, she just 'fixes' Sarah's up when she comes in, making her hair tousled, changing her wardrobe, and overall making her look less innocent and more wild. Where Sarah is shy, Jade not only enjoys but seeks out adventure. She loves taking risks and dancing on the wild side of life, which is one reason Sarah is seen as crazy. Far from a proper lady, Jade's love in life is daring, doing one 'bad' thing after another. Flirting with danger or men, she loves to have a little fun.
Disorder: If you can't tell, Sarah has a secondary personality.
