XD I know! I actually thought it was sort of funny, but whatev's. The other thing I thought was funny was that she didn't want the old RP's here, because she didn't want to exclude anyone, but we are the only active people. XP

Embedding a video is basically just putting a video on a website by altering the site's code and sticking the video's code directly into the page itself. HTML is a really confusing language, at first, but it's quite easy to understand after a day or two. It's all simple English with a few things thrown in here and there. Here's an example of HTML code: <html> <head> <title>Ivory Guardian</title> </head> <body> <p>CALLING ALL CARS!</p> </body> </html> As you can see, if some of the things were taken away, it can easily be read as English. The <title>...</title> tag refers to the name of the site, you can see it on the tab. The <p>...</p> tag just tells the computer that a thing of text is to be put here. The <body>...</body> is what we see on the site, other than the site's title. So, the website I coded up in the example will say "Ivory Guardian" on the tab and will show a white background with black, Arial, 12 pt text saying "CALLING ALL CARS!" Coding in backgrounds and other stuff is where things get crazy, but still pretty understandable. NOW, there is one thing I should mention. There is one HUGE custom to follow when asking someone to make a site. That custom is, "If there's a way around it, DON'T ASK FOR FRAMES." These things are the most picky and annoying thing in the whole of HTML. They will drive you up a wall and will make you want to physically harm whoever came up with them. It is not a fun thing to play with. |
