Archmere Academy......one of the most prestigious boarding schools in the world. Nestled up in the mountains of Europe, it's withdrawn location allows students to focus on their learning without distraction. Only the most skilled of students are even considered for admittance. Every year, one student is selected for the title of Astre Redieux, the most prestigious title the school can give, to be remembered as the best and the brightest of their class. But ever since Headmaster Aeron took the position of head of the school, the Astre Redieux have been disappearing one by one... RulesMysteryPlease, don't have your character figure it out all at once. I'd like them all to slowly come to a realization, and it'll ruin the build-up if one person just suddenly gets it. I don't have a real specific solution to it, but if you want to get in on the general reason behind Headmaster Aeron's villany, just message me! PG-13I'm fine with a little cursing, but please don't get too out of hand. If anyone is uncomfortable with this, just say so and whoever is cursing is obligated to stop. Also, if it ever gets to that point, use "fades to black" or however else you want to do it. Gender EqualityPlease have equal amounts of every gender. You know how people get mad if their character doesn't get paired up. LiteracyI want a minimum of three sentences. I know you can do it! Describe thoughts, feelings, surroundings, looks, etc. Basic CourtesyPlease no god-modding, powerplaying, or anything else under that umbrella. Zoe hopped up on her stool, her palette and brush already in hand. With a long moment of pause, she dipped her brush in the purple, flicked it in the white, and sent her brush sweeping across the canvas set in front of her. Suddenly it changed direction, instead cascading upward and then over. Within minutes, the vague form of a dancing woman appeared, purple on a background of black. It wasn't completely black, of course. Black was a dumb color. It was more of a... dark navy. Yeah, that was it. With a sigh, she glanced around at the shrubbery around her. The school's garden was expansive and beautiful, with flowers and plants of every kind. Zoe had set up behind a bush in the far corner of the garden where she could be alone with her paint and her canvas. But that wasn't the only reason she was here. On the horizon was a grand mountain range, the picturesque kind that were covered in snow at their tips and evergreens at their roots. She had painted these mountains many times, and somehow she never got tired. A new thought entered her mind - she hoped nobody had seen her dragging all her stuff out here. Not because she particularly cared (or that she cared at all) but because she didn't want them getting curious and interrupting her artistic reverie.
Daniel sniffed as he walked through a hallway, hands stuffed in the pockets of his just-recently-dry-cleaned pants. He was deep in thought about some mystery of the brain when a girl flew around the corner and smashed into his shoulder. Her books flew everywhere. "Watch where you're going!" he snapped, immediately feeling bad. But she had made him loose his train of thought - he was sure he was on to something. "Well excuse me," the girl said sarcastically, quickly picking up her books and hurrying down the hall. Daniel looked after her for a moment before grunting to himself, shoving his hands back into his pockets, and continuing on his way.

Having just arrived at school, Kris made her way through the hallway and towards her locker, which was decorated as ever with curse-words written in Sharpie from years back. She opened her locker, her backpack hanging on one shoulder as she sifted through her stuff for no real reason other than habit- it wasn't like she was going to pay attention first hour. With a small sigh, she slammed her locker closed, leaning against it as she watched the others around her. Losers. It was still a while before class, so the population was small and a mix of different social classes. Awkward, right?
Luke came into the building, high-fiving one of his football buddies. Really, Luke thought he was kind of hot, but Chris didn't know that. No, that would be far too weird. Luke shook the thought away and began walking down the hall, his letterman jacket hanging loose in a nice way. He went to his locker, putting up his textbooks from last nights homework, and turned to where he knew his friend Zoe would be once she got here, if she wasn't already. With a slight frown that pulled at his lips, he saw that she wasn't, in fact, where he had expected her to be. "Where..?" he mumbled, but trailed off, seeing the beautiful day outside. He smiled to himself, closing his locker before he began making his way outside, where he then glanced around and headed towards the garden. Turning a corner, he saw her, and his expression brightened visibly, though he said nothing. He was silent, not coming into her view, content to just watch his friend as she made magic happen- she was painting a beautiful dancer. He smiled, his blue eyes taking her and her artwork in.
Aphrodite arrived at the school, dropped off by her personal driver before walking inside, as though the hall was a runway. The usual pack of girls, the ones that weren't really as pretty as she was, or as smart, but followed her anyway took their positions to the sides or behind her, only making her look that much more beautiful, and heightening her role in the school- Queen Bee. She smiled a sexy smile to one of her male teachers- he was just in his twenty's, and was actually handsome. She had already slept with him, though, and just wanted to tease him, which worked, as he blushed and turned away. Continuing down the hall, she stopped, letting girls congregate about her as they giggled and gossiped about boys, toys, hoes, and the no-no's. Aphrodite noticed one of those 'no-no's' looking their way- a looser goth kid named something with a 'k' sound. Aphrodite smiled a smirk of a smile, waving at the nobody, before telling the girls around her some things about Kris, be they true or not, which sent the group into a burst of laughter and catcalls. With a wink in Kris' direction, she walked away, down another hall.
Kyle walked out of the media room, smiling. He had turned in his part for the paper, and was already practiced up for ShowBiz, the schools broadcasting channel. He was a big part of it, and loved his job, even though the Pops thought he was a loser for it. With a slight sigh, he made his way towards his old, beaten locker, dialing in his combination before grabbing what he would need for his first class.

Zoe could hear soft footsteps behind her, coming slowly closer and closer as she added bursts of color in the background. He was trying to be sneaky, just standing there behind the bush, like he hadn't done this dozens of times before. He always found her, somehow, and if it was any other person she would tell them to leave, but with Luke she strangely didn't mind. This was how they had met, after all, and he was now her best (if only) friend here. She continued on for a while before she decided to stop the game. "Luke, I know it's you," she said, not stopping her work or even looking back at him.
Daniel looked on as Aphrodite made her way down the hall, strutting like it was some kind of runway. It was a school hallway, for god's sake. The most prestigious school in the world's hallway at that. This wasn't some kind of ratty public school. He sighed - some people never changed. He watched as she directed her attention to some goth girl (again, strange in the most prestigious school in the world) and began gossiping about her right in front of the girl's face. "Attention-loving bitch," he mumbled to himself, a little too loud. It wasn't like he knew the girl or even dared to stand up to Aphrodite. It wasn't like he wasn't horrible to other people too. But he was only half-aware of his own hypocrisy, and so he passively hated the "Queen Bee", however legitimate her title was.

Natalia somehow again found herself trapped in her Spanish professor's classroom before school started to help grade papers for his highest class. Her fellow classmate's language abilities were appalling and she could tell which ones used a translator and which just didn't care. Sometimes she felt like she graded harsher than the teacher did and she didn't want to be helping him in the first place. She sighed and set aside another paper marked thoroughly in red with her neat handwriting. She wouldn't be doing this if she had just told him she had other things to do. But no, she had decided to be nice one morning and help him and now he was always asking for help from his "favorite student." She would much rather be talking to other people her age than listening to him try and make conversation with her about his wife and kids and her future.
Fin stood at his locker, leaning against the one next to it as he surfed the Internet for the scores of the previous night's games. He had been too busy the night before working on some computer coding for a company to watch anything and let out a groan when he saw that the guy he had bet on had gotten injured. So much for winning the fantasy league. He sighed and swung his bag over his shoulder, pushing the door to his locker closed before starting down the hallway. He absentmindedly began to count the number of people wearing red and found that he had reached 57 by the time he turned into the next hallway. Red seemed to be popular today.

Luke was so busy watching his friend paint that he almost didn't hear her talk to him. "Oh, uh, right. My bad," he said, smiling sheepishly as he came to lounge against a tree beside her. "I didn't want to bother you; you were in the zone," he said, smiling knowingly. "I like it," he said, looking her painting over. "I like the blue color," he said, gesturing to the dark navy background. "See? I'm learning; when we first met, I would have called that black," he told her, grinning now.
Kris said nothing as Aphrodite and her gang laughed and hooted her way, only shoving herself away from the lockers and walking down the hall, in the direction opposite of them. She heard some boy murmur something about attention-loving bitches, and couldn't help but smirk a little; it seemed that at least one other person here had a functioning brain, and saw past the girls looks.

"Your presence has caused me to not be in the zone, so thank you for that," she said, almost too seriously. She had to smile, however, when he complemented the dark navy. "I have taught you well, young grasshopper. Now, will you help me take this stuff back to my room before class? A poor, weak girl like me will never make it in time." Without waiting for an answer, she handed him her stool and took the canvas off of its stand, gesturing for him to carry that was well. She herself carried the canvas and the case holding her painting supplies, which was suprisingly heavy.
Daniel watched as the girl passed in front of him. A smirk appeared on her face, as if something was amusing her. Had she heard what he had said? Shoot, he thought. He didn't want any low-life emo chicks thinking they had any sympathy from him. Not that he didn't care about them, he just didn't want them getting all up in his business. So Daniel quickly grabbed his books and scurried off to his first class, which just so happened to be Spanish. When he saw there was a girl already in there, he paused in the doorway, debating whether to come in early or wait until the bell rang.

Natalia got to her feet with the finished stack of papers and placed it on the professor's desk. "Acabado," she said with a slight sigh, indicating in Spanish that she had finished. Her hand ached from grading and she wondered why there was such a thing as educators if all they did was cramp up their hands and deal with unruly students. She noticed a movement out of the corner of her eye and turned her head to see a boy standing in the doorway. For a moment, her hazel eyes cast him a pleading look for help to escape the clutches of their evil time-consuming Spanish teacher before she returned her attention to the man as he praised her in Spanish. She nodded and plastered on a smile before turning to leave. "Ah, Natalia, could you wait one moment please? I have one more thing I need from you." Her back still to him, she gave a dramatic eye roll before turning on her heels and straightening out her face. "Si?" He held out a piece of chalk to her and indicated the board to her. "Mind writing out the forms of "to have" before my morning class starts?" She reluctantly took the piece of chalk and tried not to cringe at the gritty feeling in her hand. She absolutely hated the feel of chalk. Walking up to the bored, she frowned and began writing what he wanted in her neat, fluid handwriting.

Daniel watched as the girl expressed her distress at him, unsure of how to respond. He glanced at the professor. He seemed to have so idea that she had no desire to be here. He was curious as to why the girl put up with him - why be pushed around like that and be made to do something you didn't want? Anyways, he assumed it was the girl's fault for opting to help or something. She didn't look like the type who would be in detention. "Buenos dias," he greeted as he walked in, taking a seat and beginning to copy down the notes the Natalia was writing.

[ sorry if these posts suck... I've used up almost all of my creative juice xP]
Jenna sat snug on a couch in the library, fiercely typing away. As usual, Jenna was creating a post update on her blog. Archmere students were technically blocked from using social medias, but Jenna had found a way around it. "It" meaning the school's server. After completing her post, Jenna existed off the Internet and closed her laptop. She glanced around the library with a sigh. There wasn't many students besides herself. Jenna really didn't have any friends, although she did wish she had someone to talk to.
Cassia roamed the hallways, her arms at their usual position, folded against her chest. She couldn't help but notice details among her peers as she passed them. One red headed boy favored his right leg as he walked; his left leg must be injured from football based on his built and his lettermen's jacket. Cassia passed a girl sniffling, struggling to hold back tears. As she waked by, Cassia caught a glimpse of her deleting a "Joshie" off her cell phone. Poor sap got dumped. Then Aphrodite walked by. She strutted down the hall as if it was her personal runway, acting as though the world owed her something. She was the type of girl who was flawless in looks, but not in personality. She had some type of secret, or something she wanted to hide from others - why else would she flaunt around as if her life was perfect? Or maybe it was... Cassia was probably over analyzing her. Even though she picked up on things from people didn't mean she knew them. Still, there was something about Aphrodite that Cassia didn't like.
Ross walked along side Kevin as they headed towards their math class. The two were neutral friends and both terrible at math. After the last impossible test, the boys agreed to study together, hoping two heads were better than one. "Man, are we gonna' fail or what?" Ross said as he flipped through the pages of his math textbook. Kevin chuckled. "I don't know about you, but I feel pretty confident." He yawned the last bit with a stretch. It was still early for him. "Are you kidding me? We couldn't even get through the last two problems!" Kevin shook his head. "Dude you need to lighten up. It's just math... not like we're actually going to need to figure out how A and B relate to each other in real life." He shrugged before staring off down the hall.

Luke couldn’t help but laugh as his friend spoke, first telling him that he had ruined her mojo, then sharing her approval. “I did learn from the best,” the man said sweetly, batting his long eyelashes her way with an angelic face. As she asked for his help, he only nodded- she knew he would do anything for her- and took what she offered. He slung the canvas holder over his shoulder, holding the stool as well, before grabbing the case that held her supplies from under her arm. “I’ve got it,” he told her, just to be sure she wouldn’t protest, before he began walking off towards her room. He had a relatively large load, and when his arms began to tingle slightly he smiled. He loved the burn of working muscles.
With a soft sigh that escaped his lips in a puff, Kyle made his way quickly into the library, sitting heavily in a chair. His thumb and index finger clamped the bridge of his nose as he attempted to massage the beginning of a headache away. He had just been made aware of the last minute change to today’s showing of ShowBiz, the school-run show, and it was stressing him out. Glancing around, he noticed Jenna, a blogger, tapping at her keyboard. She obviously knew the same trick that he did; the ways to get around the school’s Proxy wall. When she looked up, he smiled a little, waving towards her. He didn’t really know her, and she didn’t know him, that he knew of, but he was ever-friendly.
Kris decided that it was indeed time to make it to class- the bell would surely ring any time now- and began walking slowly towards her first class- math. She saw two of the boys in her class, ones she knew were struggling like she was, but said nothing to them, not bothering to quicken her pace to catch up with them. They were doing badly in the class because they weren’t good at math and they didn’t try, whereas Kristen was smart, but didn’t care. She could head one, Kevin, she thought, saying they would never need math later on, and forced herself to keep her mouth shut. Boys, she thought with a mental eye-roll.

Jenna eyes shifted over to Kyle when she saw movement in his direction. She was surprised to see him waving at her. "Oh.. hey." She flashed him a friendly smile before shoving her computer into her backpack. She didn't really know the boy, but she was familar with his work. He help run a school show called ShowBiz. "How's the show going?" She asked; she might as well strike up a conversation.
Kevin watched as Kris walked past them, turning into the classroom before them. "Hey, maybe she'll let me cheat off her." Kevin teased. He sat behind the girl and knew she was pretty smart. Ross rolled his eyes and was about to say something when his teacher beat him to it. "What was that Mr. Black?" Kevin checks flushed. "Ah, just said I'm excited to test?" Ross rolled his eyes before slipping into his seat. "That's what I thought I heard." The teacher replied. "Now please take your seat. Kevin nodded before sitting down behind Kris.

"Suck up," she called after him. "Worthless jock!" She sighed and followed after him, opening the door to her disaster area of a room for him when they got there so he could put down the supplies. She leaned her painting against a wall near a bunch of other unfinished ones. It would be looked at later and thrown into the "practice" pile (otherwise known as the "artistic failure" pile), the "save for archives" pile, or the "send to manager for exhibit consideration" pile, none of which were particularly tidy. Actually, nothing in the room could be considered particularly tide. "We're going to be late for class," she said, sitting on her rumpled bed. "I would be inclined to care," she added sarcastically, "but the class is sadly not art themed. Now let's talk about Chris."

Kyle was a little surprised when Jenna began talking to him- he hadn’t been trying to make conversation or anything, he was just being kind- but he smiled anyway. “The show? Oh, it’s alright. The boss made a few changes today, but it should be good..” he paused a moment, watching as she shoved her laptop into her bag. “How’s the blog?” he asked her, smiling. He read her blog sometimes, and even promoted it through his show, be he didn’t think she knew that; they got okay ratings, but he didn’t think she watched. Didn’t seem her style, he figured. “I loved your last post, it was brilliant,” he said with a small grin.
Kris couldn’t help but roll her eyes as Kevin spoke to his friend about cheating. As if. Everyone in class knew she hardly ever bothered to do her work. When the teacher spoke to the boy, she smiled a little, sitting down in her seat. She scooted forward so that she was low in the chair, her feet sticking out under the desk in front of her. She glanced at Kevin as he passed her, and felt when he sat down, as his desk knocked into the back of her chair a little. She didn’t say anything though, as she was thinking about the test.
Luke only laughed as Zoe called him names. When they finally got to her room, he sat her things down where he normally did, glancing around him to scope the place out. “Looks like I need to clean again,” he said, smiling knowingly at his friend. His blue eyes followed her as she sat on the bed, a small smile playing at his lips. “Oh, too bad,” he murmured, pretending to frown, “I love my first hour class.” He paused a moment, when she brought Chris up, wincing slightly. “You know,” he said, changing the subject, “Most girls want to do other things when I’m in their rooms.” With a small inward sigh, he sat beside her. "You really skipping out again?" he asked, referring to the class she was late for.

Jenna nodded her head as she listened to Kyle talk about the show. "Cool, I'll be sure to check it out." She wasn't a frequent watcher, but she had seen the show a couple of times. It was entertaining. "It's going pretty good." Jenna said when Kyle asked about her blog. She was a little surprised he knew she blogged - it wasn't like a lot of people read her site. She was really surprised when he mentioned her last post. Her eyes grew wide. Kyle read her blog? "Really? Wow-you... read my blog?" Their was shock clear in her voice. She realized how that could come off bad and added. "I didn't know people actually read it. It's not so popular you know what I mean?" She zipped up her bag before tossing some blonde hair over her shoulder. "Did you truly like the last one?" She couldn't help but ask. She had never spoken with a reader before.
The teacher passed out the math tests before writing down a time on the board. They had exactly an hour. Ross took his time, actually trying, while Kevin struggled through it. He didn't get to finish his exam and had to turn in his test with the last page incomplete. "Well that sucked." Kevin said to Ross as he slide back into his seat. Ross shrugged. "I thought it went alright." Kevin shook his head before taking out his note book and beginning to doodle, not bothering to take notes that the teacher was writing on the board.

Kyle smiled a little when Jenna said she’d check the show out today, the news making him happy for some reason. He saw that she was surprised about him reading her blog and frowned a little. “Yeah, lots of people read it,” he told her, smiling again. “We talk about it almost every time you update.” He watched her flip her hair in the way girls did- the way that drove most boys crazy- and was still watching when her question came. “Of course I liked it. I mean, I wasn’t alive for most of the movies you mentioned, but I’ve seen a few. You know, the well-known ones, like The Shining, The Princess Bride, Poltergeist, the Rodger Rabbit movie, and the Green Mile,” he smiled wider then, thinking back to what she had talked about. “I liked your thoughts on them, and the way you wrote this one. You used a different style, it seemed, than when you write about computers and things. Then again,” he said, blushing a little, “I don’t know much about computers, so it could just be my lack of knowledge making me think that.”
Kris watched the teacher as she wrote a time up on the board, her gaze flickering to the clock. She sighed a little, knowing that she had to do well on this exam to stay out of trouble. It took her a short amount of time to finish, and she felt pretty confident as she returned to her seat. She turned so she could watch those around her, and noticed the way Kevin’s brows were pulled together as he struggled, eventually turning his test in incomplete. She didn’t speak as he returned to sit behind her, murmuring to his friend. She thought back to what her probation officer had last told her, something about community service, and decided with a shrug she might as well get some done. She turned around, tapping lightly on Kevin’s desk, motioning with her hand to his notebook, wanting a piece of paper. She planned to make a sign offering tutoring, one she would put up on the notice board in the hall. It would count, right?

[ I just want to say that I've seen 3 of those movies and love them. Princess Bride is by far one of my favorites]
Jenna was surprised when Kyle said a lot of people read her blog. She made a mental note to check how many viewers looked at her website. "Really?" Jenna murmured in amazement when Kyle mentioned people talked about her blog. "People actually talk about it?" This was all news to her. Jenna had advertised for her site only once when she first made, but knew no one would read it. She figured no one was interested in computer stuff. Jenna couldn't help but smiling when he listed some of the movies she wrote about. He really did read it. "They're all great movies. Classics in my opinion." Jenna tensed slightly when he sheepishly mentioned the computer aspects to her website. "Uh yeah um... my dad works for some software company and he likes it when I talk about that kind of stuff." Jenna knew that was a lame excuse - terrible lying on her part - but couldn't have him knowing about her secret nerdy passion. That would only turn him away. "... they give me free stuff for writing about them." She added quickly, hoping it sounded more believeable. "But I think I'll try some different topics out. More relateable topics." She gave him a smile before picking up her bag and shrugging it onto her shoulder. "Wow, I really can't believe people read my stuff... I always thought no one read it."
Kevin was in the middle of drawing a cartoon scene of a space invasion when Kris tapped on his desk. He jumped a little, coming out of his artist mode. "Huh?" He asked. He followed her hand realizing she wanted some paper. "Oh..." He flipped over a clean sheet before ripping it off and handing it to her. "No problem" He added, not even completely sure she thanked him. He returned to his doodles, get lost in his zone again.

((I've seen all of the ones I listed, and love them. XD After I wrote the list, I realized how fruity he sounded for liking Princess Bride. XD))
“Yeah, we mention it on the show, and I’ve heard some of my techie friends talk about it; they love your advice on what’s best.” He told her, stage whispering. When she said the movies were classics, he grinned. “I love all of those movies. They’re great. You did really well, writing about them, too.” He kicked himself inwardly, but didn’t show it on the outside; why admit that he loved the freaking Princess Bride? It was a chick movie! He was kind of curious as to why she shut down a little when he mentioned the computer parts, but he didn’t bug her about it. “That’s cool. I wish I knew more about technology. I know how to work a camera, and that’s about it,” he admitted, wincing a little. “Man, what I would give for some free gear,” he said, grinning. “I buy most of the stuff with my own money; cameras and whatnot. Must be nice, knowing so much, and having the recourses at your disposal.” He watched as she put her pack onto her shoulder, and figured she was about to leave, which made him kind of sad, though he said nothing about it, only smiling. “Why wouldn’t they? It’s brilliant.”
“Thanks,” Kris muttered as Kevin handed her paper, before turning back to her desk. She had seen the other boy drawing, and had to admit that he wasn’t bad. Actually, he was really good. She wondered absentmindedly if that was what had gotten him in this place, or if it was something else- money, family friends, etc. She shoved the thoughts away, though, instead making a quick poster, detailing what she was doing(tutoring), when she would do it(whenever), and what subjects(pretty much any). Smiling, she held it up, hoping it would work, at least until she found some poster board or something.

Jenna's soft blue eyes turned towards the ground when Kyle mentiond his techie friends talked about. She hoped he didn't think she was techie. God how embarrassing. Although secretly, she was glad people found her advice helpful. "Thanks." She blushed at his compliment. Now she really couldn't look up at him. No one had ever been this sweet to her. "Oh... I don't really know that much. I mean I do, but I'm not into that kind of stuff. I'm not a nerd or anything." She laughed a little before looking back up at the boy in front of her. However, she forced herself to look away when he mentioned the free gear. "Yeah it's pretty great." She murmured. Jenna hoped he'd forget about that. She didn't like lying, but she hated people knowing about her secret talent. She shifted her feet uncomfortably. Lying also made her feel uncomfortable. "Thanks for the compliments, I'm glad you like the blog. It's nice to hear some feedback." She flashed him a smile before beginning to leave. "Well, I'll see you around." She called before heading out of the library.
Kevin looked up from his doodling right as Kris head up her flyer. He leaned forward in his seat to catch a better look at it. Tutoring? Any subject? Kevin desprately needed to raise his grades. He tapped on Kris's shoulder, before pointing to her flyer. "You tutor for math?" He whispered.
[How do the days works? Can we decide when classes end or do we wait for others?]

((I love Westly, Inigo, Fezzik, the grandpa, and the kid.. :3 ))
Kyle sighed, watching as she left the library. He had probably freaked her out or something. She had seemed uncomfortable- maybe she thought he was stalking her or something. With a groan and a facepalm, the young man left the library as well, walking towards his class.
Kris could feel eyes on her, or rather, on what she was holding, and quickly lowered it, looking around her. At that moment, someone tapped her shoulder, and she turned to look at Ross, thinking it was probably him. When she saw that it wasn’t, though, she turned to shoot Kevin a look. “What?” she asked him, only to be interrupted by his question. “Uh, sure,” she said, frowning. “You need tutoring?” she asked, though she knew that, based on his last test, he could.
((Good question.))
