The silver moon sets bright agasint the fallen night sky
Through the howling wind
and the swirl of leaves
A howl is heard thorugh the darkness

Like beautiful song
or terrible sadness
The howl continues
on

Both furious and caring
Gentle and destructive
Sweet like a summer day
Bitter cold like a winter's night

The howl tears across the forest
like a deathly blow
But then all seems to be
the same

As the moon goes down
the howling ceases
The beautiful and terrible voice
gone untill the next adventure

Season: FALL (Leaves are changing, Snow Beginning to Fall)

Fall Mission: The pack hopes to collect much prey and build a small storage in a cave that is mostly underground, the cold will preserve the food.

Current Camp: The camp is in located in a type of valley in the forest, and the ledges surrounding it block the wind. There is a cave for each of the positions. Alphas share a cave, betas share a cave, etc. there's a stream that runs through the camp, but is frozen in winter. In the caves, wolfs sometimes create beds by using moss or feathers. There are also tall rocks on one side of camp which are good for sunning. The camp is surround by a large forest and on the southern side a crystal lake surround by willow trees.

Rules

Welcome, my friends, to the Rising Moon Pack. All dedicated members are welcome. I want this to be an extensive role play, so there must be rules.

- No complaining about positions
- Please, at least one paragraph per post. No incomplete sentences, im not picky about spelling but please try to make it sound like your know how to write and not a five year old.
- If you read the rules, put Rising Moon Pack in the Other section of your form
- If you have ideas or a plot line, you can message me and we can talk
- No rude behavior.
- I have every right to kick you out if I feel you are rude or not agreeing to the rules
- Please black out or skip mating scenes
- If you do swear, use ****
- No using other people's characters
- This is a realistic game. This means no Powers, you can believe that ancestors send you signs, but no supernatural stuff.
- Please make sure your wolf has at least one weakness, also make sure they arn't perfect. Nobody can take down a full size elk with one bite, its not real.
- More than one wolf is allowed, just don't hog all the high ranking positions.

Alpha Male:
Alpha Female: Aurora (Ambertiger)
(The Alphas Are Leaders of the Pack, Leading all hinting parties and in cases of battles they will either send a Beta or go themselves. The Alphas are a mated pair, Either by Love or not. Must have a litter of pups sooner or later. If one dies, they are either replaced by a Beta or by a selected wolf that proves themself.)

Betas
Beta Male:
Beta Female: Mika (Pirate)
(Think of the Betas as the right hand to the Alphas. The Beta male aids the Alpha in hunting and takes care of things when he's not around. The Beta Female is the Alpha female's personal servant, and the two are usually together. Often bonda are close between Alpha Female and Beta Female. The beta's may or may not be in Love)

Subordinates:
Deltas (Gaurdians + Messengers):
(Delta's are the oldest and wisest wolves in the pack. They do not often hunt or fight, but gaurd the pack's base and help interpret messanges that The Alpha's may recieve in dreams. Are often asked for advice by Alphas or betas.)
Lambda (Hunters):
Tectonic (Ambertiger)
Raven (Pirate)
(Lambda are the hunters of the group. They aid the Alpha and Beta in trapping and killing prey.)
Upsilon (Scouts):
Toko (Kitteh)
(The Upsilon are the scouts. They track down prey and report it to the alpha. Do not aid in hunts, but can move up in rank to Lambda.)
Eta (Warriors) :
Shane (Ambertiger)
Roan (Pirate)
Leonie (Kitteh)
(The brutes of the pack. Are usually well muscled and short tempered. help when fighting other packs or unfriendly beasts like bears.)
Omegas (Scapegoats + Pup Watchers)(6):
(These are the low rankers. They usually are tormented by the pack and watch the pups when others are busy.)

Raven stepped out of the lambda den into the chilly autumn air, shaking off a few bits of moss sticking to her dark coat. She moved forward, snow crunching under her paws, and lifted her nose toward the sky, taking in the scents of the crisp morning air. A leaf fell from a tree and landed in front of her, and she snorted, sniffing it a moment as it settled on top of the snow before continuing forward. Finding a patch of sunlight she thought suitable, she sat down and lifted her face to the sun to warm herself in the cool air.
A few moments later, Roan emerged from the eta den and shook off his fur in a similar way, moving past her with a dark air hovering over him. "Good morning, Roan," she called out to him as he passed by and a grumble of irritation came from his throat. He didn't particularly enjoy the cold and he was never one to be chipper, especially in the morning.

Mika had earlier wandered down to the edge of the lake, not particularly for any reason. She lapped at the cold water that hadn't quite frozen over yet so early in the cold season. Moving away from the edge, she trotted down the shore, lifting her nose to the air as she sniffed the different scents around her.

<I>Aurora</I>

Aurora's dark pelt shifted restlessly under the tall Willow. Her eyelids fluttered and she raised her head sharply, looking around. She lay in a bed of soft grass, woven into the intertwined roots of the tall tree. She blinked her ocean blue eyes, and her voice was soft.

<I>Jason?</I>

He had been here, she knew he must have been. She saw him, he spoke to her-
But, no.
Jason was gone.
Forcing tears not to flow, she stood up, shaking her fur slightly and adjusting her atmosphere to a leader, not one of a heartbroken girl with nobody to turn to, not a comforting soul.

She pushed past the long tangles of the willow tree that hung down, stepping onto the grass outskirts by the crystal lake.

Tectonic arose as the sun touched the earth, spreading light among the camp. His fur, which was mixed with shades of grey, brown, and black, seemed to shine in this early light. Stepping outside the cave her let out a long yawn, arching his back into a stretch.

His paws tingled under him, he was ready for a hunt. Looking around, he spotted raven and walked up to her, a playful smile on his face.

"Hi Raven!" He said comfortably. 'Ready for the hunt?" His green eyes sparkled with excitement.

Shane shook his thick fur in the crisp autumn air. His dark brown form made it easy for him to blend in in all the seasons but winter and he wasn't thrilled about it. Squinting his yellow eyes against the light, he trotted over to the sunning rocks, where he curled up and closed his eyes, letting g the warmth touch his pelt.

Raven shifted her gray-eyed gaze to Tectonic as he approached, tilting her head slightly in greeting. "Hello," she greeted him, shifting on her haunches slightly. Her eyes lit up when he spoke of hunting and her long tail swished aside some snow. "Of course. I'm always ready."

Mika blinked and paused when the Alpha's scent hit her and she turned in the direction it was coming from. "Aurora?" She asked in confusion, turning and approaching the other wolf. "What are you doing out here?" She asked curiously. She hadn't seen her leader come out from the tree and was surprised by her sudden appearance.

Tect's eyes gleamed with a light only A hunter had. The playfully smile still on his face, he said in a playfully mocking tone. "Lets pretend i'm todays kill. Bet you can't catch me."

He backed up a few paces, and smiled, daring her to run after him.

Aurora had still been distracted, her thoughts on Jason. She snapped back into reality as Mika spoke.

"Oh, Good Morning Mika." She said, blinking a few times to focus on her Beta. Hesitating at the question, she replied "I was out here last night, I guess I dozed off." She wanted to scream the real answer, that she was looking for her mate, that he wasn't gone, but she had to be strong.

When you are a leader, you must always remain strong, never showing your weakness.

Aurora's head turned sharply, turning towards the willow tree she had just abandoned. She stared for another fraction of a second before turning back. She shook herself slightly.

Stop it, your only fooling yourself, A.

Leonie lay on a sunning rock, paws crossed in front of her as she soaked in the morning sunlight. She flicked her ear as she heard the others talking but payed them no attention - she was relaxing. Eventually their chatter became too much, and she stood up with a sigh. "What are you, pups?" she teased, jumping down the rocks.

Toko slinked through the bushes, the scent of deer growing stronger by the moment. He was downwind (he'd triple checked this time) so no one could smell him. Finally - yes! - there they were, a small herd of white-tailed deer grazing on the forest shrubbery. He gazed at them through the bushes with his brown eyes. One, on the edge, looked sluggish and weak... an easy kill. He slinked back through the bushes toward camp with the news.

Raven got to her feet at his playful words, crouching forward on her paws. "You know I could. I'm faster than you!" She said, her muscles coiling, ready to chase after him. She stopped at Leonie's words and straightened, giving her body a small shake as if to shake off her mood only moments ago. Slightly embarrassed by the teasing, she turned her head away. "It's good practice," she said, licking her leg to hide her embarrassment at the pupish way she had been acting.

Mika sat down and tilted her head to the side at Aurora's words. "Why were you out here by yourself last night? The cold season is almost here. It's dangerous to be out alone," she said, her motherly tone coming out. She always worried about everybody in the back. She frowned inwardly when the Alpha turned her head back toward a tree, like she had heard something. Mika strained her ears but she heard nothing coming from that direction. "Is there something over there?" She asked, her eyes clouding in confusion.

Tect just grinned up at Leonie. "No harm in a little fun!" He complained, but he sat down and stopped. His tail swished from side to side and his Green eyes glinted. Tilting his head slightly, he asked "Anyone know when Toko will be back with the news? I can't wait to go!"

Aurora shook her head slowly. "No, I was just being silly." Her ocean blue eyes twinkled as she smiled. "Thank you for your concern, but i'll be fine." She stood and shook her fur slightly. "Lets eturn to camp and see what news the scouts have gathered."

Raven glanced at Tectonic when he spoke, sighing at his question. "I'm not sure. I don't know when he left," she said. Her paws were itching to go hunting though and she couldn't wait to get going. She briefly wondered where Aurora and Mika were.

Mika watched Aurora with worried eyes, unsure of how to react to her strange behavior. She wisely remained silent and merely nodded at her Alpha's suggestion, starting off in the direction of their camp.

Leonie flicked her tail in consent as she walked by, sitting by them near the entrance to the Eta cave. "I suppose," she said mockingly. Just as Tect asked his question, she twisted her ear to the side - the sound of pawsteps could be heard faintly, along with the swishing of brittle underbrush. "Speak of the devil," she quipped passively, "here he comes." She didn't really care about the hunt, seeing as it wasn't her job. The Etas only came along just in case some other pack was seen on their territory, another, stronger animal came around, or the prey was just unusually hard to catch. And since it was fall, the former two were more likely to be the case. But we haven't seen a rival pack in a long time, she thought. I'll be out of practice soon.

Just then, Toko came trotting into camp, wagging his tail. "To the northwest, halfway to the Owl Tree!" he barked. "There's a sick deer limping on its front left leg, looks like an easy kill." He plopped down across from the others, his tongue hanging out as he panted.
