 Solus Pack
The territory occupied by the Solus pack is primarily rocky, mountainous terrain with a few sparse forests. Most of the land is covered in snow for about half the year; the Winters are bitterly cold and harsh. In contrast, the Summer months can either be very mild or scorching hot. Prey is often lean and doesn't have much meat, contributing to the overall appearance of the wolves who live here. Due to the rock-hard ground, dens are situated in natural rock caves and overhangs, and are spread out over a large area. They are all found in the largest forested area in the territory.
Alpha Den
Despite the large opening, the Alpha den is well hidden by surrounding foliage and large granite structures.
Moss covers the ground and walls of the cave, providing a soft place to sleep.
Beta Den
The Beta den is found not far from the Alpha den.
The sleeping area has been dug out under a natural rock overhang,
and due to the soft ground the inhabitants do not need plants furnishings.
Gamma Den
The Gamma den is where Fighters and Hunters sleep. It is large and open, allowing easy access.
This can attract predators, but because the majority of the pack sleeps here, they can easily deal with an intrusion.
Omega Den
Small but defensible, the Omega den only has room for two wolves.
The ground inside is hard and dusty, so inhabitants often cover it with grasses and moss for comfort.
Seer Den
A small waterfall marks the entrance to this natural cave.
The water trickles into a small pool inside, a constant water source for the Seer.
A hollowed out hole in the rock stores herbs and prevents them from becoming wet or drying out.
The inside is large and spacious, with enough room for four or five patients to be treated.
Apprentice Den
The Apprentice den is small and easily looked past;
from outside, there seems to be no entrance, however a small opening
at the back allows wolves to slip into the well-protected interior.
Nursery
The nursery entrance isn't easily overlooked, so when it is being
used it is constantly guarded by an able-bodied pack-member.
The surrounding foliage provides a lush, safe place for wolf pups to play when they
are old enough, and the surrounding trees are thin, preventing predators from sneaking up.
Training Grounds
Nestled at a higher altitude than the dens, the training ground is light and spacious,
with plenty of room for vigorous training and activities.
Most wolves found training here will be Fighters and Apprentices, and sometimes Hunters.
Gathering Area
The purpose of the Gathering Area is to provide a place of communication and connection,
and so that Alpha and Beta wolves may deliver news or announcements to the pack.
The Gathering Area is situated on a rocky outcrop not far from the Training Grounds.
Wolves may sit in group or in their ranks, with higher ranking wolves closer to the Alphas,
who sit at the very height of the rocks to command the attention of the pack.
Luna Pack
The territory occupied by the Luna Pack is primarily lush, life-filled forests. The ground is littered with fallen leaves and undergrowth, which is soft under-paw and allows for almost silent movement. Prey is plentiful and constant, both in the humid Summer months and the snow-less winter. The low altitude means warmer temperatures, and the plant life is plentiful and constant. The Luna dens are all nearby, within an area of about 20 metres squared (215 feet squared). Dens are almost all dug out of the earth, placed under trees or hidden beneath plant growth. Because of their close proximity, the group of dens is called the Camp.
Alpha Den
The Alpha den is further out that most dens. Underneath the rock overhang
a passage leads further into the ground, providing a safe place to sleep
while being easily recognisable and accessible for other wolves.
Beta Den
The Beta den is just down the slope from the Alpha den, and is well hidden from prying eyes.
The moss covering the entrance extends inside, providing comfort for it's inhabitants.
Gamma Den
The entrance to this den is well supported by roots and logs, especially further in.
The surrounding growth and logs help to hide it from view.
The earth is soft and slightly damp, owing to the roots which draw moisture.
Seer Den
The Seer den is just south of the Gamma den, and the creek that feeds the trickling waterfall
flows around the southern half of the camp before trailing away,
meaning the wolves have a constant water source.
Seers often have a hard time keeping their store from rotting due to the humidity,
so their stocks don't usually last for more than a month at best.
Luckily the abundance of plants also means it is reasonably easy to attain new stock.
Omega Den
The Omega den is dug out of the dry earth on the eastern side of the camp.
It can only house one wolf, and the roof is fairly unstable, often showering dirt on those who enter.
Apprentice Den
The Apprentice den is found near the Omega den, but as it tunnels under a tree the roof is much more stable.
The entrance's small size owes to the fact that it is easily seen; a small opening means better defence.
The grasses nearby are used as ground cover inside, because the earth is harder and drier.
Nursery
The nursery is well placed under a mature tree, whose roots hold up the ceiling.
The interior is warm, spacious, and made comfortable by the soft earth.
The nursery lies only a metre or two (3-6 feet) away from the Gamma den,
ensuring that protection is constant.
Training Grounds
The Luna Training Grounds are found deep in the forest, a ten-minute trek away from the dens.
The open area is fairly small, but wolves also train among the trees to better prepare themselves for
combat in their territory.
Gathering Area
The Gathering Area is about halfway between the Training Area and the dens.
Wolves sit where they wish, though the Alphas and Betas usually position themselves on the boulders.
Here, announcements and news can be shared, or wolves may simply chat and connect.
Diets
Wolves mainly eat large animals, and smaller prey is used to supplement their large kills.
Fruit and berries will be eaten as a supplement also, and only make up a very small portion of a wolf's diet.
The 'Best Hunting Times' section indicates when hunting will be most successful.

Alpha
The Alphas are the highest ranked wolves in the clan. They eat first at every meal and the pack must follow their every order.
They lead the pack and make the big decisions, and often their personality is reflected in how their pack operates, whether it be through religious beliefs or vicious tendencies.
There are only ever two Alphas at one time; a male and female. If there are two, they must be mates. It is possible for there to be only one Alpha. If a single Alpha chooses a mate, they will become an Alpha as well.
Alphas are not chosen through blood, though if two Alphas are particularly favoured, their offspring are often chosen as leaders. Potential Alphas must fight each other to determine a leader.
Beta
Beta wolves are the second highest ranked wolves in the clan. They organise hunts and fights with the Lead Hunter and Lead Fighter, and deal with any small problems in the clan. There can only ever be two Betas, though they do not have to be mates. Betas are chosen by the Alphas, and most Alphas are Beta rank before they gain leadership of the pack. Betas are always chosen from the Hunter or Fighter ranks, and do not take Apprentices.
Hunter
(Gamma)
The Hunter are average ranked wolves who provide food for the pack. The majority of a pack is made up of these wolves. Hunters are trained from 6 months to a year of age, and know every trick in the book when it comes to taking down the largest elk or the scrawniest rabbit. Hunters usually get to eat before Fighters and after Betas, because they are the ones who bring home the bacon and as such get to eat earlier on. Hunters are often also used as scouts, to gather information about surrounding land or nearby wolves, predators, or prey. Hunters can take Apprentices. Hunters are also called Gamma wolves.
Fighter
(Gamma)
Fighter ranked wolves are the protectors and guardians of the pack. They take turns guarding the pack at night, and when predators or wolves threaten the pack they are the ones to battle for the pack's safety. Fighters are considered the same importance as Hunters, however it could be argued they stand below them, as Hunters eat first out of the two. Fighters are trained from 6 months until a year and a half, though the length of training often changes under each Alpha; anywhere between a year and two years is the norm. Fighters can take Apprentices. Fighters are also called Gamma wolves.
Seer
The Seer is the spiritual guide of the pack, and also the healer. They hoard healing herbs, roots and flowers, and can heal most ailments in a flash. The Seer also uses similar herbs to conduct ceremonies and induce visions. They command great respect, and this stems from how they are chosen. Potential Seers must successfully create a concoction that induces a vision, one in which they will be spoken to by the Lycaon or Shakeb themselves, depending on their pack. The Gods then choose if they think the potential Seer has the right skills and personality to fit the rank, and if so, they receive a personalised token - a raven's feather or cougar claw, for example - to prove they were accepted. Wolves that were denied the position receive nothing. Seers train from 6 months until two years of age, longer if their mentor does not believe they are ready. The Seer can eat before Hunters if they wish. There can only be one Seer at a time, unless an Apprentice receives their rank. If this happens, the newest Seer cannot take an apprentice until their mentor has died or retired.
Apprentice
Apprentices are the wolves-in-training of the pack. At 6 months of age, a wolf can choose what rank they wish to pursue; Hunter, Fighter, or Seer. If the Seer already has an apprentice, they cannot choose that. Apprentices are assigned a mentor by the Lead Hunter or Lead Fighter, and are guided and trained by their mentor for at least six months. Hunter Apprentices are train for only 6 months, however during the first month or two of their training they cannot participate in hunts. Fighter Apprentices train for any length of time between a year and two years, and this is determined by their mentor and/or the Alpha. Seers train for at least two years, longer if their mentor thinks it necessary.
Pup
(A week refers to 7 days passing during the roleplay, not real life weeks!) Pups are young wolves between 0 and 6 months of age. Mothers are pregnant for about two to three weeks in-roleplay. Newborn pups are blind and cannot walk or leave the den for the first three days. Until their second week they can only hang around the pack camp (they also start eating meat around now), but when two weeks have passed they can travel with an older wolf to areas outside the camp, and gradually even further distances. After three weeks they are weaned from their mother and do not need to be near her at most times, like they used to. 3 days after weaning they can become an apprentice, however if their user wishes they can stay as a pup for up to 1 real-life month. When a pup becomes an apprentice they automatically become 6 months old.

Omega
The Omega is the lowest ranked wolf in the pack. Omegas eat last, and are often abused and mistreated by the rest of the pack. However, Omegas are an important part of the pack; they allow the frustration of the pack to be vented, and this helps prevent fights which could threaten the pack structure. Omegas can rise through the ranks by repeatedly winning fights against higher-ranked wolves, but most of the time this does not occur. Omegas sometimes assist mothers with their pups if needed. |

Body Type:
Shape - Somewhat muscular, lean and agile body.
Fur - Short but soft.
Claws - Short and slightly stubby, not very sharp.
Fur Colour: Purely jet black. Eye Colour: Golden. Personality: Fallen is stubborn, and if he is proved wrong he will still argue his point. He thrives under pressure however, and when dealing with pack matters he tries to put aside his nature for the good of the pack. Fallen prefers fighting over compromise, and this is reflected in how he deals with the pack - disputes are often settled with short, bloodless fights. Fallen often likes solitude instead of being surrounded by friends, and as such he has no close friends of his own. History: Fallen is a part of the second generation of wolves, the offspring of the First Wolves. He grew up in the Solus pack, learned their traditions, and fought for the Alpha position in his third year, not long after his parents - the past Alphas - had passed away. Despite the fact that his parents were supposed to be immortal, Fallen does not hold a grudge against Lycaon and Shakeb, and in fact often prays to them for guidance, especially when hunting or fighting. He often leaves offerings of food for them when prey is plentiful, and he believes that the First Wolves' loss of immortality was caused by their loss of belief in the gods.
Family: None. His parents -two of the First Wolves- passed away peacefully a few years ago, and Fallen was the only pup to survive in their last litter. Crush: None. Mate: None. (Will change if someone applies for Alpha Female) Pups: None. Past Mates: None. Likes: Autumn, red leaves, wandering throughout his territory, training with young pups. Dislikes: Wolves that pester him with problems, Summer heat, insects. Fears: None.

Body Type:
Shape - Thin and agile, with a long tail and large ears.
Fur - Very short, slick and well-groomed.
Claws - Average length, and somewhat jagged.
Fur Colour: Reddish Brown base, with steel blue-grey fur across her back, rump, ears and the top of her head.
She has a cream underbelly, lower and inner legs, as well as her cheeks and the underside of her muzzle. Eye Colour: Dark brown-green. Personality: Glade has a wicked eye for trouble, and dislikes being told what to do. She deliberately disobeys her superiors, and often won't face the consequences of her actions. She's rebellious, rude, and more than a handful to teach. Her past mentor was a grouchy, impatient wolf who was getting on in the years, so he simply up and left when Glade's troublemaking became to hard for him. Glade had no empathy or compassion, and cares not for the people she affects and those who need help. Despite her abrasive personality, Glade is smart, sly, and cunning, often pulling elaborate pranks other wolves would never have thought of. The only reason Glade still resides in the pack is because they believe that her hidden intelligence could greatly benefit them in the form of hunting techniques, though Glade is determined not to give in to them. She is rarely religious, being of the belief that the Gods do not care for them so much any more. Sometimes she will send a quick prayer to them as a last resort, but she doesn't expect an answer or solution.
History: Glade was born into the Luna pack to the late Alpha pair. Unfortunately, sickness seized them a few months later, and they perished along with her litter-mates. However, some of her older siblings from different litters still reside in the pack. Glade entered her apprenticeship at 6 months, but her mentor left the pack before her apprenticeship was completed, and as such she is still treated as an apprentice even though she is over a year old.

He is resourceful and finds ways to make things easier and more efficient for the pack, as well as a quick thinker, which helps him in sticky situations. He is a little full of himself and sometimes thinks that he is all knowing and wisest of the whole pack, so he may overstep some of his boundaries as beta and attempt to make decisions for the alpha rather than wait for instruction. He has a good gut instinct and will often follow it rather than orders, which usually ends up working out, although sometimes it gets him into trouble. He's a little bit of a traditionalist and will stay stubborn in what he knows rather than willingly trying something new. History: River started out as a rash and strong-willed pup. He often got into trouble for running off or starting fights with his littermates. However, when he reached six months old and was apprenticed to the Head Fighter, he was quickly tamed. He learned a lot from his mentor and mellowed out, learning that fighting wasn't everything and the strongest wolf didn't always win. When his apprenticeship ended, he quickly proved himself to be a competent leader amongst the fighters and he gained a lot of experience and trust with his levelheadedness. The beta of the pack died when he was five and he was promoted to the position as the obvious choice. Although he prefers to rush into a fight, Twilight is also known to be well versed in strategic positioning. History: As a pup, Twilight was always the one to pick fights with his littermates. One day, he started annoying Dawn which got him the scar on his left shoulder. Even though everyone knows how he got the scar, the story Twilight tells changes every time he tells it. To this day, he has yet to learn his lesson and has gone back time and again to pester his packmates and littermates. The Seer noticed this and accepted her as an apprentice. She was easy to teach as her interest in the subject made her want to learn as much as possible. Soon after the two years were up the Seer died of old age. Even now Ivy doesn't like talking about it, he was her only family.
