When we were children, many of us grew up with stories of magic, romance, and wonder. These fairytales were a fantasy land, an escape from the real world where we could pretend to be princesses and pirates, sorcerers and satyrs. In the end, everyone got their happily ever after. But something in this world changed. After hundreds of years of peace, the world was thrown into chaos by something unknown and the last memories the inhabitants had of their beautiful land was darkness. When they all woke up, they were in a strange, horrible place where magic did not exist and happy endings were hard to find. They all knew each other and who they were, but they had all gone through great changes. Some lost their loved ones, others took on a completely new form, and all of them grew to be miserable. The human world is no place for the inhabitants of fairytales. But how could they return? Nobody knew who or what had brought them to this new world, but some of them were determined to find out.
Rules and Such
- Follow all site rules.
- Only a few characters have any magic remaining. Anyone who was not a sorcerer/ess, wizard, fairy, or witch does not have any magic, and those that do have very little.
- Any characters who were previously animals (such as the Big Bad Wolf) are human in appearance but can be shape shifters.
- Every character must have a problem return from their past, so make sure you know their story well.
- All fairytales, fables, and works of fiction apply, but be reasonable
- Not every character needs to come in pairs. If one person makes Beauty but no one makes Beast, then that creates a conflict for Beauty, which is fine. Yay for more drama!
- The only rule for literacy I will make is at least one complete sentence. This is a roleplay for inclusion. Write as little or as much as your heart desires.
