I created this myself using Microsoft Paint The world that you know is not what it seems. There are people among us that can control the mystical elements. To them, being known spells the end of this world. A struggle against evil powers is at hand, not to mention the struggle to keep their world hidden from our own.

Name: Yanta Gender: Male Age: 22 Element: Dark Mentor(s)/Element(s): Roice/Air; Melena/Dark Personality: Kind, Friendly, Energetic, Protective History: Yanta was born to a poor family. He was forced to live day to day with no promise of a meal the next day. It wasn't until he was 10 when he was discovered by a roaming wizard, Roice, and taken in as an apprentice. He trained under Roice until the time came to figure out what element Yanta was to gain control of. To Roice's dismay, Yanta's element was dark. Roice knew that he couldn't teach Yanta the ways to control the power that was about to resist his efforts to control it at every turn, so Roice sought help from his friend, the only dark wizard he knew that hadn't lost their control over the element. Roice's friend, Melena, decided to take Yanta under her wing and train him in the ways of dark magic. It was here where Yanta learned that he was trying to take control of a magic that wouldn't allow anyone to easily control it. Yanta battled long and hard against his element, but he eventually got the power to control the element. Appearance: Yanta has medium-length jet black hair and blue eyes. He's about 5'11" in height and weighs 150 lbs. He currently has only three scars caused to him during his control session: one on his face, going from above his left eyebrow to the right of his chin; one on his back, doing straight down the spine; and one on his right leg, wrapped around his right knee in a perfect circle. Other: He enjoys any time in the "real world" that he can get. During that time, he mostly tries to find out what the people of that time are talking about.
Name: Strorce Gender: Male Age: 19 Element: Earth Mentor(s)/Element(s): Regar/Earth Personality: Likes to take charge, Hard Worker, No remorse for enemy History: Strorce grew up in a sports minded family. He played football when he was young and watched it with his father when he wasn't playing it. He took great solice in finding out he was to control one of the stronger elements. Strorce will do anything to keep ahead of both the competition and his own team. Regar found him at one of his football games against his school's rival team. It was only after seeing how Strorce, literally, exploded off the line when he knew he was in control of the element of Earth. Appearance: Strorce has short-length brown hair and hazel eyes. He stands at 5'10" and weighs 175 lbs. He has signs of a broken nose and a fractured femur, both acquired while playing football. Other: Although he is not too happy with the idea of connecting with nature, Strorce is very adept controlling other creatures.
Name: Aerias Gender: Female Age: 18 Element: Water Mentor(s)/Element(s): Aeos/Water Personality: Crafty, Loves kids, Shy around others History: Aerias grew up in a home where her father would often mistreat her and her mother. It wasn't until she was 14, when she had enough of her father's blatant disregard for hers and her mother's health and stood up to him, when she learned she could control the element of water. At this point, both her parents were afraid of her and she decided it would be best if she left them. It wasn't long after until she ran into Aeos, who unknowingly offered to take her in. Aeos found out about her ability when they were at the beach and Aerias seen a little kid drowning in the water. Without knowing the rules to having these abilities, Aerias saved the child. To her fortune, no one was watching, except for Aeos. That is when Aeos made her his apprentice and started teaching her everything she needed to know about how to use the abilities she was given. Appearance: Aerias has long-length light blond hair and grey eyes. She is 5'5" tall and weighs 133 lbs. Other: She loves being around kids and has even gone against her teachings a couple times to save their lives, aside from the beach incident. She's just gotten craftier at hiding the fact that she's using her powers, instead of standard techniques.

Name: Lilly Gender: Female Age: 19 Element: Fire Mentor(s)/Element(s): Carlisle/Light Personality: Stubborn, Short-tempered, Impatient, Independent, Mistrustful History: Lilly grew up in the foster system after her parents were killed in a terrible accident and no family wanted to take her in. She became hardened there and mistrustful of others. She eventually ran away after a horrible experience with a foster family and came across Carlisle, who took her in when he realized she was just like him. Although he isn't a fire elemental, he did his best to help her with her powers and she managed pretty well learning on her own, although she has a long way to go before she becomes a master of it. They're currently in the process of finding a true mentor for her. Appearance: Lilly has long golden blonde hair and cold blue eyes that verge on the edge of silver at times. She is tall and slender, reaching 5'8 1/2" and weighing 145 pounds. Her face is pointed and she constantly has a scowl, but if she relaxes her features, she would be considered pretty. Other: Lilly rarely gives others the time of day, so it takes someone with extreme patience to break the hard outer layer protecting her.
Name: Elianna Gender: Female Age: 16 Element: Air Mentor(s)/Element(s): Roice/Air Personality: Light-hearted, Easy-going, Optimistic, Playful, Wise History: Anna has always known of her ability as her father, Roice, was an air mage as well. She grew up surrounded by all of the history he collected and passed on to her and when she came into her powers, it was easy enough for her to learn from her father. A fast learner, she quickly learned everything she could and at a young age became a master of her element. Yanta came into their life while she was very young and she began to look up to him as an older brother in the short time that he stayed with them. Appearance: Anna is very child-like in appearance, even though she is sixteen. She has a very round, innocent face but her gray eyes hold the wisdom she's gained in the years of learning from her father. She is slight and petit, only reaching 5'3' and weighing ninety pounds. Her bouncy brown curls only add to her child-like demeanor. Other: She prefers to go by Anna.
Name: Carlisle Gender: Male Age: 23 Element: Light Mentor(s)/Element(s): Boden/Light Personality: Patient, Kind, Friendly, Quiet, Gentle History: Carlisle has always been very helpful to those he sees in need. He often rescued animals in trouble when he was younger and was always there to be a do-gooder for everyone. HE left his family at sixteen to find his place in the world and ended up finding his mentor, Boden, who was very old. After four years, he mastered his element and his mentor passed away, leaving Carlisle his home and few personal belongings. Not long after that, Carlisle found Lilly and convinced her to stay with him while he attempted to help her with her powers. Appearance: Carlisle is a very warm person, even in appearance. He constantly has a handsome smile plastered on his lips. His blonde hair frames a square face with a strong jaw and nose. His eyes are green and friendly. The only frightening thing about him may be his height at six foot exactly, but his lanky frame makes up for it and reduces how menacing he may appear. Other: Carlisle enjoys spending his time in the sun and often does as much as he can to be outside, so he often gardens and plays sports in the park.

Yanta awakens from his daily meditation. His dark magic mentor, Melena, had advised him that doing so would keep his element from fighting back. He stands and looks around. All he sees are the trees of the forest, and all he hears are the animals that resided here. He overheard people in the town describing a monster in this forest that matched a perfect description of an Air Elemental, an air wizard that never gained control of the air element. A few steps further in and something behind him caused the tall grass to rustle. Quickly turning, he readied himself to cast a Shadow Ball, his hands being surrounded in a translucent black mist that bubbled up as if it were made of some sort of oozy substance. "Show yourself!" he calls into the far reaches in the forest. After waiting some time, he relaxed and the black mist dissipated. He sighs and falls into a sitting position on the ground. "The elemental can't be far," he says, putting his forehead in the arch between his thumb and pointer finger, "the stress in the air would mean this person lost control when fighting something." Yanta stands and starts walking in the direction where there was a slight breeze. "To be causing an air aura this large," he says, contemplating his next move, "they were powerful when they were human."
Strorce finishes his daily exercise routine. He took everything his mentor said to heart, including the fact that 'to properly control the element of earth, one must be strong enough to punch one's way through an avalanche'. With this in mind, Strorce was happy to know he could continue his normal routine. He stands from his work-out machine and smiles as he walks to his shower. "Yeah, great work out today." He starts his shower and washes off, thinking about what he was going to do with his new found strength. After his shower, he leaves his house and walks down the street to get him some lunch, he was thinking a nice meat lover's from the local pizza place. As he was walking, he came across a couple of kids playing football. Seeing that made him long for the days when he was playing. With a heavy sigh, he continues towards the pizza place and continues to think of what he can do with his ability.
Aerias, although warned of such behavior time and time again, was busy making a kid's sprinkler time even more fun. She knew to stay out of sight from them. She may not have liked the rules, but she knew ways to stay within them while still having her fun. When the parents came out to collect their children for lunch, she released her control of the sprinkler system. Smiling, she turns away and walks into the woods, heading for her house. "That little bit of entertainment really wore me out. I think it's time for some lunch, myself." She continues on until she sees her house, then she starts to lightly jog towards it. Making it inside, she goes into her kitchen and makes herself a sandwich.

Anna flitted to and fro down the street as her father watched on in amusement. Her face lit up as she looked into each shop window, her eyebrows scrunched in concentration as she contemplated what to spend her money on. Roice had allowed her one purchase today and she would spend her money well. The greasy scent of pizza wafted through the air toward her and she perked up, her mind suddenly made. "I think pizza will be good!" she exclaimed excitedly, jogging down the sidewalk to the pizza place. She grinned and quickly slipped in, waiting patiently once she was inside for her father to catch up before placing an order and sitting at a table. The seat could hardly contain her as she bounced excitedly in anticipation. She didn't really get out of the house much and when she did, she was like a little kid again. Although her father treated her as an adult, he was still very protective of his little girl and didn't want her exposed often to the hostilities of the every day world.
"Lilly, concentration is key. You have to focus on your breathing and calm yourself inwardly before you can even think about controlling something as uncontainable as fire." Carlisle's patient voice echoed through the small clearing in the woods behind his home that he and Lilly were training in. The girl huffed at him, fixing him with a stony glare. "It would be easier to concentrate if you weren't always telling me what to do," she muttered more to herself, but the light elemental caught her words. "I'm only trying to keep you from burning down the woods," he told her, gesturing to the hose he had ready in his hands in case he needed to douse any flames she lost control of. It was a precaution he always carried out and it had come in handy more than once. Lilly turned away from him and closed her eyes, taking in a deep breath. However, it was hard to remain calm with how irritable she grew with her mentor. She couldn't even get under his skin a little bit. He was too in control of himself for his own good.
[Well I hope that's okay ^-^]

Yanta continues on into the torrent of wind. The closer he got to the air elemental, the more fierce the wind blew. It didn't take long until he came upon the elemental causing the ruckus. "Okay. Time to put you out of your misery," he whispers, not wanting to alert the elemental to his position. Summoning his power, he readies himself to cast a Shadow Ball at it. With the black mist surrounding his hands, he took aim and waited for the perfect moment. "Now." He releases the dark magic from his hands, throwing them at his target. They hit, dead on, but only serve to anger the elemental. "Oh no," Yanta says as he quickly dodges, trying to avoid an attack from the air elemental. Although dodging most of the damage, he is hit in his right arm, the cutting winds stinging and causing deep cuts. Yanta winces and rolls into a kneeling position, facing the elemental. He tries to move the injured arm and only succeeds in sending a wave of pain through his body. "Gah..! Perfect. Can't use half my spells because of that." He stands and summons a black sword in his left hand. "Guess I have no choice, now." He charges the elemental and it dodges, causing Yanta to slash and topple a large tree. Both keeping the blade active and the torrent of wind he was fighting in was starting to exhaust Yanta. He charges the elemental, remembering what Roice had said about an elemental's weak point. Taking aim, Yanta strikes the point once and causes the elemental be become just as exhausted as he was. With a smile, Yanta readies another strike. "Whoever's body you stole, I'm sure they will forgive me." The elemental makes a loud bellow sound before Yanta goes for the finishing strike. Even though the bellow did slow him down, Yanta still managed to strike the elemental in the same spot he did with his last strike. "Now, go into the Aether and may your body and mind rest in peace." Yanta finally feels safe enough to allow the sword to dissipate. The torrent of wind ceases and allows Yanta to fall on his hands and knees, completely exhausted from the ordeal. With many deep breaths, he stands and starts making his way back to the city. He looks at his arm and sighs out one of his deep breaths. "Going to have to think of an excuse before I see a doctor about this," he says, not looking forward to the visit.
Strorce enters the pizza place and orders three slices of a meat lover's pizza. He hands the cashier his money and takes a seat, waiting for his slices to get to him. "Maybe I can help with the football field," he says, trying to carefully choose his words since he is in public, "at least then, I can go back on the old field." He smiles a bit. "And if anyone gives me a hard time, I can just show them how I block." A low chuckle comes out and a few people turn in their seats to see what Strorce was laughing about. Strorce didn't care whether they noticed him or not. He wasn't giving away who, or what, he was, so there was no breaking of the rules that Regar had drilled into his head.
Aerias eats her sandwich and leaves her hidden home, heading towards a small pond in the woods where she liked to try out new spells. She gets to the pond and starts trying to conjure the water blade that she failed at conjuring time after time. The first attempt of the day was a complete failure, didn't even get a chance to complete the handle, let alone create the blade. Her second attempt of the day was a bit better, she got as far as the guard before it all erupted into a large splash of 'uncontrollable mess'. The third time, she actually made part of the guard before the spell collapsed. After that, Aerias was too worn out to continue. "How can conjuring such a simple thing be so difficult?" she asks herself. Looking at her hands, she tries to figure out what was going wrong. "Aeos had no problem with conjuring a sword and keeping it active for a good half a day, so why can't I get that far without completely exhausting myself?" Aerias sat down for a while to allow herself to rest while she pondered this question. Looking up at the canopy and seeing the sun's rays pass through, she felt almost tired enough to lay down and sleep.

[Merp - kk]
Anna looked up as someone walked in, a smile spreading on her lips. "Hey, Strorce!" she greeted the earth elemental, waving at him. Yanta somehow knew the guy, she wasn't sure how well, but they'd been introduced in the past and she never forgot a face, especially of a mage. "Dad, that's that guy I told you about that one time. The nature guy Yanta introduced me to." Roice lifted an eyebrow upon seeing the teenage boy, instantly going into protective father mode. "Oh really?" Anna nodded animatedly. "Yeah, one day while we were at the park. He's a football player." She didn't realize how much of a grave she was digging for the guy already, just innocently describing the first time she met him and what she knew about him. She was a little clueless on the whole dad's hate boys thing. She didn't even think of guys like that to be fair.
Lilly was just about to get fed up with her training when a cacophony of noise erupted from further into the woods and a large gust of wind blew by clearly unnatural. The two exchanged looks before setting off curiously in that direction, coming across a clearing that had been torn up in some sort of fight. The two noticed a figure just disappearing into the woods and Carlisle instinctively called out. "Hey!" Before Lilly could protest, he was jogging after the figure and with an annoyed huff, she followed after him, easily catching up to the older man.

Yanta stops and looks back when he heard someone call out for him. "Oh no. Was I discovered?" He knew he didn't have the energy to escape anyone who was coming, so he started to quickly think of an excuse for the battle. Nothing came to mind. "Great. Now not only am I injured, but the whole world will know of our existence." He looks behind him. "Maybe I can still get away." Yanta turns and tries to escape his pursuers, hoping they'll just mark what they saw to a dream. The only problem is, his injury was making it difficult to keep his balance, let alone move quickly. Yanta was only able to take a couple more steps before he completely lost his balance and fell to the ground. He unleashes a pained scream as his injured arm slams against the ground. This wave of pain temporarily paralyzed his body, only allowing him to have pulses of short shakes as his right arm throbbed with pain.
Strorce looks over when he hears his name called. He smiles and waves to Anna. "Hey, Anna, been a little while." He stands from his seat and approaches the two of them. "What have you been up to since Yanta introduced us?" Upon seeing the older man she was with, Strorce guessed that Anna was out with her father. He didn't, however, pick up on the fact that Roice was wary of him. "I guess you're the father she and Yanta told me about?" He holds out his hand to the man. "Name's Strorce." He wanted to give Roice the proper mage greeting, but didn't want to arouse any suspicion from the other customers.
After her mild rest, Aerias stands and looks around. "I think I've gotten my energy back." She holds out her hands as if she was holding a sword. "Time to try again." Aerias started to conjure the sword. It didn't get any further this time. This drained Aerias of most of the energy she had regained from the rest. She falls to a knee and breaths deeply, trying to catch her breath. Out of frustration, she pounds her left fist into the ground. "Why can't I get this without being completely exhausted?"

Carlisle frowned as the figure began to run away, only to increase his speed when the man collapsed with a pained shout. He was at his side in moments, gently rolling the man over. "Are you okay?" He hovered his hands over the man, light particles streaming out and bouncing back, giving him a reading of where the injuries were. He put his hand on the man's injured arm, glancing at him briefly. "This might sting a little," he told him before he began to heal him. Lilly caught up to them mid-way through this process and she crossed her arms, looking down at the two in disapproval. "You the one who did that?" she asked, indicating back toward the torn up area with a jerk of her head.
Anna shrugged at the question as Strorce approached them. "Just a lot of studying history." Roice studied the man from his position, lifting his gray eyes to him when he was addressed. "I guess so," he replied, taking the offered hand and shaking it. "Roice." Anna gestured for Strorce to sit down now that the two were acquainted, leaning forward and resting her chin on her fists. "So what have you been up to?"

Yanta winces as Carlisle starts healing him. Upon hearing Lilly's voice, he opens his eyes. The pain had blurred his vision, but he could make out that there were two humans above him. One he knew was a wizard, or, at least, a wizard-in-training. It took a while before he had the strength to actually speak. He shifts his eyes to the furthest up figure. "S-Sorry." A pained smile forms across his face. "Air... elementals... don't play... nice." He winces again and looks at Carlisle, noting that he was starting to come into focus. "Thank you, sir."
Strorce smiles and nods. "Nice to meet you, Roice." He looks at Anna. "Not too much. Just exercising. Thinking of going back to the school and working on the field." He looks back at Roice. "Mind if I join you two?" He didn't feel right if only one of them agreed to accept them at the table.
Aerias didn't allow herself to rest properly, this time. She stands straight up and goes back to trying to form the sword. This was in direct opposition to what Aeos taught her. She didn't even make it passed the hilt before the drain on her energy caused her to collapse to the ground. Her breathing had increased. Aerias tries to stand, but can't move. "Is this why we're not supposed to work passed exhaustion?" She feels more helpless than she did when she couldn't form the sword.

Carlisle pulled his hands away once the man was sufficiently healed and got to his feet, offering a hand to the other man to help him off the ground. "No problem. I take it you're once of us," he said, a grin cracking across his lips. "I'm Carlisle, and this sour puss is Lilly." He gestured to the girl and she scowled, looking in the other direction. She wouldn't give him the satisfaction of a verbal response to his teasing.
Roice nodded at the request, scooting his chair over so there was more room for the young man. "Aren't you a little old for school?" Anna asked, tilting her head slightly in curiosity. She had been homeschooled and already completed the courses she needed to take to graduate. She wasn't a fast learner in only the history of the mages. Besides, she enjoyed learning and absorbed everything quickly.

Yanta smiles and accepts Carlisle's help in standing. "I'm Yanta, and it seems I am," he says as he stands. After getting to his feet and letting go of Carlisle's hand, he lets the dark mist engulf his hand. "Dark wizard, Yanta, apprentice to Air wizard, Roice, and Dark wizard, Melena." Yanta allows the dark mist to dissipate and looks at Lilly. "I'm guessing you two are an apprentice and mentor pair?"
Strorce takes a seat and looks at Anna. "I am. I just miss the field. Couldn't exactly become a professional football player without guaranteeing I wouldn't slip up." He tried to "encode" his words as much as possible, just in case others were listening in on their conversation. He lets out a long sigh. "I may be foolhardy, but one thing I won't do is break a rule just to further my goals." Strorce smiles slightly.
Afraid to close her eyes, Aerias struggles with the pain that energy drain comes with. "Can't risk falling asleep. If I do, I might never wake up." She tries to move, once again, and is only met with a pulse of pain, causing her breathing to become more erratic. Aerias didn't know what to do in this situation. She couldn't call out for help; she couldn't move to get back to her house. She was utterly stuck in the one spot until either someone found her or she decided to risk falling asleep.

Carlisle grinned at the question, giving Yanta a nod. "Yup. I'm a Light wizard and I'm attempting to train her Fire element. It's a lot harder than light, though." Lilly blew some hair out of her face in annoyance, giving Carlisle a glare. "It would help if you actually knew what you were doing." Carlisle shrugged at the insult, letting it roll off of his shoulders. He was used to Lilly's harshness and he knew she didn't intend to actually hurt his feelings. It was just how she was. "Ignore her for the time being. She doesn't have very good people skills," he told Yanta, receiving an eye roll in response.
Anna nodded at Strorce's explanation. "Makes sense," she said eating some of her pizza. "Papa never let me go to school because he thinks I'm too much of a show of." She grinned at her father, who raised his eyebrows. Roice chuckled, gently patting her leg affectionately. "You do enjoy showing off. That brain of yours would attract a lot of attention." He didn't add how she also liked to float around rather than walk and she always liked to play little pranks around the house involving her element. He couldn't imagine her surrounded by hundreds of people. "Do you study much history?" Roice asked, looking to the young man across the table.

Yanta nods at Carlisle's last remark. "True. Although, it would be crazy to think a Fire wizard wouldn't have a fiery spirit, right?" He chuckles a bit before looking at where he fought the Air elemental. "What I would give for a Nature wizard right now, though." Yanta lets out a slight sigh, somewhat thankful the damage was in a part of the forest that not many people went to. He looks at Lilly and Carlisle. "So, how did you two come to meet each other?"
Strorce shakes his head to Roice's question. He didn't much care for history in general. "History's never really been my best subject." He takes a bite from one of his pizzas. He looks at the window, almost as if he was expecting something to happen. "To be honest, I've learned all I've needed to learn to understand. That's how I've always done things, it's not backfired on me, yet." Strorce's tone became more serious than it was before. He knew the threats that were out there. He just never liked thinking about the possibility of someone being that much more powerful than he was.
Aerias fights the urge to sleep. She knew the risks and didn't want to chance it. "Why am I so powerless?" she asks herself. Fear starts to quickly slither its way into her mind, as thoughts of death quickly approached. She was really starting to think of what would be worse, dying or being forced to attack everyone that passed. The thought itself made her feel even more exhausted, to the point where she couldn't fight the sleep any longer. Aerias passes out, hoping she would be able to wake up as her normal self.

At Yanta's question, Carlisle glanced back at Lilly, a small smile on his lips. "She's a runaway. Foster system. I-" "Carlisle!" Lilly snapped sharply, cutting him off before he could finish what he was saying. "We just met him." Carlisle raised an eyebrow at her, shrugging. "It's not your life story. And he's one of us." Lilly scowled. "It's not your story to tell." She clenched her jaw before turning away and storming off back toward their home. Carlisle glanced at Yanta and gave him a sheepish smile. "Would you like to come back for some dinner? I'm sure you're starving after that fight."
Roice raised an eyebrow at the statement but nodded. "That's fair." He glanced over at Anna. "Anna is very studious. But she enjoys it." The girl nodded, finishing off her food. "Maybe we could bring Strorce home with us, show him around. Yanta might come by soon and they could see each other." She looked to the Earth wizard hopefully.

Yanta looks worriedly at Lilly as she leaves. "Hope I didn't overstep my bounds by asking that." He looks at Carlisle. "I don't wish to intrude." His stomach instantly, and loudly, voiced its opinion on the matter of Yanta eating. He sighs. "I really hate when the stomach decides to put its two sense into matters such as these." He looks at Carlisle. "I guess I'll accept. If I don't, I'm sure my stomach would torture me the whole way home."
Strorce smiles at Roice's comment about Anna. "Guess we all have our talents." He looks at Anna, then at Roice. "What do you say, Roice? Would you mind if I came over for a bit?" He didn't want to push the issue too much; though, he was wondering how Yanta had been doing. He finishes his second pizza and starts on his third.
[Just going to leave Aerias asleep for a bit.]
