They are Among us
Ever since the human beings walked the earth, they’d been among us. For hundreds of years, they were even thought to be one of us. There was no question that they looked and spoke like us, however, no one knew of their double life. Their real life. Only when blood was present were their true identities exposed. Naturally, we hunted them. Seek to get rid of them. However, organized groups weren’t formed until the early 18th century; that’s when rumors and superstitions began to circulate around Europe. People’s livelihoods became hunting them. Professionally trained groups of hunters began to pop up all around the world. All in different countries, but all had one goal. To slay vampires...
Lamia Confectores…
… is “vampire slayers,” in their universal language, Latin. As stated above, there are thousands of groups of them, dedicated to killing vampires. It all started in a small village in Transylvania, when the first of the Lamia Confectores came together and took an oath to protect mankind against the evils of vampires. Some of the founders broke off from the group, forming their own groups. Now a days, there are hundreds of thousands of groups all affiliated with the Lamia Confectores. However, even with the large number of Lamia Confectores, the vampire population continues to grow, especially in major cities. New York City is the largest vampire populated area in the United States, and with the existences of vampires a fantasy to civilians, the Lamia Confectores struggle to keep their numbers down and their existences a secret.

Things to know…
- The Lamia confectores consist of a leader and members. Many of them come from a long line of slayers; however, with the number of vampires increasing, many are now recruited usually by former lamia confectores.
- The slayers of New York City live just on the outskirts of the city in a huge beautiful old Romanian-styled house that was built a few years prior the Revolutionary War. The house is located on a couple acres of untouched land; however, it’s near a main road, allowing easy access to the city.
- Vampires can be considered beautiful creatures and use their looks to seduce victims. It’s difficult to tell a vampire apart from a human, but it’s not impossible. For one, vampires are extremely pale. It’s not so surprising considering their undead. They also have red (can vary in shades) eyes and they are quicker and stronger than an average human. Finally, vampires are mainly nocturnal creatures and always feed at night.
- There are two main ways to kill a vampire; either by chopping off its head or thrusting a wooden stake through the heart. The consumption of garlic also kills them, but it’s must harder to get a vampire to eat a plant than to just simply cut off its head. All remains of a vampire should be burn to ash, to get rid of any evidence of their existence.
Rules
All site rules are expected to be followed.
Keep foul language to a minimum. Swearing is fine, just don’t overdo it.
You can choose to be a Lamia Confectores or a vampire. I’d rather not have humans on here because the existences of vampires are really only supposed to be known to the lamia confectores.
Although it is pretty much against Lamia Confectores rules, slayers do fall in love with vampires (they’re irresistible after all). However, I don’t want too many vampire-slayer romances. It would kind of defeat the point of RP if every slayer was paired with a vampire.
On the subject of romance, please keep PG-13. I’m sure no one wants to read vivid intimate details. Just ‘fade to black’ them. Also, no extremely gory fighting/death scenes. Again, I don’t think anyone wants to read vivid details of a person’s death.
Um… That’s it for the rules. If you kitties are naughty or if I forgot something then I’ll post some more. :3
